UF/UT barely played each other before the 90's. Same with UGA but I'd rather keep UGA game because they're border state and UT must recruit in GA.

How many times have you been to College Station, pvilleguru?
And when was the last time you visited?
Just curious.

Never. Just have no interest in going back to Texas. It's also way too far of a drive. Even know a few people that went to Texas A&M that advise against going to College Station.

I may be mistaken, but UT has a little bit of a thing with UK, VU, and UF. Not sure UT would agree to this

UF I'd miss. And I'd miss UK as well (lot of family that are cats fans - look at the border we share - I REALLY MISS THE KEG!). VU I'd miss out of tradition more than anything else. Although I don't know many Vandy fans (even the people I know in real life who went there are UT fans), people from Middle Tennessee would explode - they gotta thing going on there and it does makes sense for the two schools to play.

And then there's UGA - don't wanna lose that one either. Even USC is growing on me.

So yeah, I don't think I'd want to switch. I wish that Auburn had come into the East originally.

We played every one but LSU last year.

That's what I thought.
Interesting.
(we all flew when visiting Alabama [for both Bama & Aub] ... not sure why you'd drive)

Thanks for the response.

And under the craptastical scheduling format we have now, we won't play again for at least five years.

YOU THINK I'M MADE OF MONEY? Cause you're right but I feel bad having the pilot fly in and out of LA, MS, and TX all the time

I actually do wish we played more. IRL I've always had a blast with LSU fans. But it's funny we never catch a break on the schedule even when we think we've drawn a weaker west opponent that will be the year they're good. That's how it works out - just can't predict things too far ahead.

Well UGA-UT games are usually exciting high energy events and we all know opposing fans. I would hate to lose that game.

I'd hate to lose it too. I know North Georgians would be fuming. That said if we have to lose any game that could be close to being called a rivalry it'd probably be UT or USCe. Got too many other rivalries to worry about and those are merely games of hatred.

It just struck me that the SEC was the last large conference that was still relatively geographically contained.
Many of its fans--rather than travel to other places--are opposed to leaving the general Georgia/Alabama/Mississippi/Tennessee microcosm.
I'm not sure if it's a mindset thing or a financial issue for residents who reside in the country's poorest states, but I've never really noticed it before now.
Y'all have become very used to sittin' tight.
