You have to have some balance in the divisions.

works for me. I guess mizzou would be moved to the west which it ought to be. the city is the fricking gateway to the west and has been for almost 200 years.

Who are we giving up?

What rivalry would that be?

I still wish they'd go to 9 games. If not, find a way to maintain Ala-Tenn and Ga-Aub and let everyone else rotate. I don't care if Florida is 12-0 or 0-12, that game means nothing to me nor many LSU fans. And,I'm sure that feeling is echoed in Gainesville. I'd much rather see Missouri,Tennessee,Georgia and South Carolina on our schedule more frequently than being stuck with Florida.

That would be so awesome for A&M. We'd just have to beat LSU to go the the ccg

Why would that be the pairings? It would be UGA/UT and UF/LSU.

Because UF/UT is viewed as important. Which is why it gets the 2:30 game every year. LSU already complains about having UF. So get rid of it.

That's not as set in stone as it used to be. Florida is our daddy and neither team has really been all that special lately. We're talking about the 90s, as WG pointed out, more than anything relevant today.

You are moving the best team in the East, Mizzou, west.

Moving the best team in the west, Bama, east.

Moving two other teams to keep longstanding rivalries, Auburn/UGA, Vandy/Ole Miss.

The schedules are not balanced so no need to worry about the divisions.

What? And get rid of the Iron Bowl, the SEC's most important rivalry?

SEC's best rivalry

...oh, wait.

Damn, why is the most important rivalry always changing?

Geography is basically a wash at this point. Does "east/west" still make sense?

I think it would be interesting to re-work the SEC divisions, NFL style, where teams in the same states are split (i.e., Houston AFC/Dallas NFC; Miami & Jacksonville AFC/Tampa Bay NFC; San Diego & Oakland AFC/San Fran NFC).

Split Ole Miss and Miss State
Split Auburn and Alabama
Split Tennessee and Vandy

Best team in the East last year. Doesn't mean they will consistently be that good.

I think you have to have 3 Big Six schools in each division.
