Louisiana and Mississippi - I think MS wins though just due to not having any cool cities like New Orleans.

Louisiana is ran so poorly. The governor is a slap dick with fries and a coke, and BR / NOLA mayors are race baiting wrenches.

Shreveport is a mini detroit or baltimore, but they recently got a new mayor (first republican mayor in like 25 years) but I think the city is too far gone.

Friendly reminder that New Orleans has lost so many cops that they now do not have enough to sustain pension payouts for current retirees, so New Orleans is now paying $50-$60k per month in penalties to sustain that pension.

But Mississippi is a total shithole. It's not even safe to drive through, especially the coast. Stay out.

Mississippi is also in the Top 5 of states most dependent on federal subsidies. In the SEC footprint, Florida and Tennessee are the least dependent.

nonsense, the two most welfare dependent states are CA and NY with FL fast catching up, what you are referencing is per capita, the total dollars or numbers aint even close.

We should give Texas back to Mexico, but they basically have it already so what's the point.

That sure would make the US look odd though, in terms of shape. Quick search finds this on Google.

Keep thinking this and stay out. I like my state having a bad reputation. It keeps the liberal a-holes out.

The winning strategy. Thinking about retiring to the Magnolia State.

Arkansas like Mississippi is burden with the poverty and crime of the Mississippi delta. The poorest area in the nation.

If you take that out of the equation then Arkansas is in a lot better shape.

That area is a third world nation compared to the average economic areas of Arkansas.

While it's a tight race, I'm going to go with Oklahoma. Mississippi is also quite rough.

I don’t know if Arkansas is the worst, but definitely felt like I stepped back in time. For better or worse I’m not sure.

Those areas help feed and clothe your pampered arse. People down here are good people. Just like where you live there is some bad, but in my experience after moving here 46 years ago, it beats alot of places I’ve been.

Add in most cities in Florida. Beaches pretty but traffic and all the idiots there make it a hard pass. Lived there 4 years.

Way too many potholes in the Sooner State. The state is always under construction. DFW metroplex roads and highways are always immaculate.
