Agree. Love their ribs, and you gotta start it off with the sausage and cheese platter. I always get a glass of sweet tea first before I get my cold beer.

Depends on who is cooking that day.

Locals don't hate Beale.

I really don't like going to Beale anymore unless it's before/after a Grizz game. At night, the street looks like a Three 6 Mafia music video. With all the work that's been done the past 5-10 years, I'd much rather be on Main St or elsewhere these days.

VERY true.

It's very hit and miss. I went in there one time and they put way too much dry rub on their ribs and it they were dry as frick. Had to chew and chew and chew before it went down.

Most times though they are fantastic. Just fall right off the bone and melt in your mouth.

interesting that a Tennessean doesn't support Memphis BBQ.

Memphis has excellent bbq...I never said it didn't. I just happen to prefer Carolina bbq. This is America and I can do that.

so overrated. I wouldn't even put the Rendezvous in the top 5 in Memphis. if it weren't downtown, it would not be rated like it is.

Agree to disagree. But there are other places in Memphis that give it a run for it's money

Corky's is roadkill and ketchup.

Gate's beef and a 1/2 dominates Art's.

That's why certain people live in Germantown.

I live downtown. Other than 152 it's rather tame.

While not actual BBQ, in any sense, I will certainly choose this over real BBQ any day. And growing up in Memphis, I love BBQ, and have flown through Memphis instead of other airports, specifically for BBQ.

No one has even mentioned the best BBQ restaurant in Memphis yet.

One and only BBQ is my favorite right now. It's amazing.

After that I'd take Central, three pigs or Germantown Commissary.

Neely's kinda sucks. Rendezvous is just too hit or miss. If you can get it fresh then it may be the best, if not there are plenty of others.

And if anyone mentions Corky's as being the best, go ahead and discount anything else they say.

It goes against popular thinking, but I hate Central.

Uh....The best BBQ in the world is in Central Texas. Lulling, Lockhart, Taylor, Lexington, etc.

You Yankees up north will rotisserie anything over gas, smother it with sauce, and call it good. Good BBQ doesn't need "ketchup" on it.

But thanks for playing.

Man I'm jealous of that guy. I bet he gets a pretty good hookup

I haven't been to the Rendezvous in probably 4 years or so.

Haven't been to The Commissary in almost 20 years, but did think it was very good.
I actually like Interstate over Central though.

People that think SC has shite BBQ go to places like Maurice's or Doc's in Cola and think its all the entire state has to offer. Truth is Cola BBQ does suck

The best BBQ in the state that I've had is in the low country- Cooper's Country Store in Salters (south of Manning) and Brown's BBQ in Kingstree.

Both are vinegar based instead of mustard so you foreigners that can't understand the GOAT mustard should be able to handle it. But both are a ways away so yall wont get a chance to try them anyways
