Yeah, but I was referring to people I know IRL, not somebody that I picture with a box of Frosted Flakes on his head.

Uh... no. He's pretty damn good but I'm not even sure he's the best in the South and definitely not the best ever in the South.

Wiki has his record at 239-80 (.749). Curtis has over 500 wins and fewer losses. 25-26 state championships too.

Of course, I've heard old Curtis guys say that the coaches used to help them use steroids, so you gotta choose between a guy who cheats on the field vs a guy who cheats off of it.

Besides Curtis also cherry picks the top talent in Nola. It's easier to win when you are allowed to recruit.

All of this. He was also very well liked by the parents. The kind of guy who just likes what he does. Their current coach is an a-hole, but he wins. But that is not too hard to do at Hoover. Probably the best HS sports program in the country. I think like 85% of the kids under Rush got some kind of scholly after HS.

Because of Probst it is. He built the Hoover football dynasty. I know the city has grown a lot since he was hired at Hoover, but before Probst Hoover was mediocre to bad at football. Even the legendary Bob Finley at Berry HS (pre-Hoover HS) had few great seasons in his decades as HC. Hoover was a basketball school before Probst.

Best high school program and greates coach? Yall realize there is life outside of Bama right. JT curtis and the coach from De la salle are two off the top of my head that shite on Hoovet and Probst. Don shows and west Monroe are at least equal as well

Shows had more wins, over 300, and titles too. Propst isn't really close to best ever in the South.

Don't get me started...a douche. At HHS thought he could do whatever he wanted and they did. If HHS had been in the NCAA HHS would have gotten the death penalty.

Probst has built two losing programs in two different states into nationally ranked annual State Championship contenders in the highest classification in both states. If Probst were still at Hoover he would have 10 championships by now.

While this might be true, Hoover is his creation. Say what you want about the quality of HS football in Alabama. Hoover's run over the last 15 years is historic and the records they've set in the state will never be broken.

Rush woke that community up and made them realize how good they could be if they supported the program.

Rush Probst is the Richard Scrushy of HSFB. He builds a huge dynasty and does awful, disgusting bullshite behind closed doors. None of his players ever did anything significant for Bama, and his best QB, JPW, was a garbage QB in college. Thank God he's gone. He's one ugly motherfricker too.

He also, like Scrushy, claims he's had a religious rebirth, which is also garbage. Cause a guy that terrible, does not have that type of turnaround that quick

I'm not saying that Colquitt wasn't down when he took over but I wouldn't call a program with multiple state championships a losing program.

I will say what he's done there has been great. He brings in the talent and gets tons of money donated to the program.
