He's petty and I'll hate him wherever he goes because he beat my team in highschool football a decade ago.

Kidding, just gus-ing with you.

Uh... no. He's pretty damn good but I'm not even sure he's the best in the South and definitely not the best ever in the South.

Larry Campbell won 477 games in 44 seasons at Lincoln Co (Ga) .I'd say Propst has a ways to go at being the best in Georgia.

I laughed at the pic of the second family. What man takes a picture like that with his mistress and kids? Is his first family now cool with them or something?

His first wife divorced him after it all came out and then he married the mistress.

ETA:

Specifically the mistress he had kids with and was maintaining a second family with. Not the 10th grade principal or the history teacher he screwing.

The football team may be 70% white, but unless there has been a major shift in the last 5 years then Hoover HS is closer to 85% white.

You are way off my good sir. Far more diverse than that.

Don't know much about him other than he was accused of changing grades and cheating on his wife.

He wasn't accused of cheating on his wife, he was busted for having a second family.

How is this even possible? That is 10.8 wins a season. How many regular season games do teams play in GA. I know it is 9 or 10 in Alabama. If that is true that is dang impressive.

He changed forever how football in Alabama was played. His offseason programs elevated football into a 12 month sport. He was and still is a great coach - how great can be debated since he was one of the first to somehow manage to have several players "relocate" into Hoover. Not that it is shocking today as it happens pretty much everywhere but Rush was doing it when it wasn't fashionable.

As far as a person, his secret family, affairs, abrasive personality turned people off. But once he was diagnosed with cancer and went through that struggle, he appears to be a changed man. I hope so... the old Rush wasn't well liked.

He actually had an affair with a woman at the school. That is pretty common knowledge. His secret family only came to light when the retired judge did his investigation into Hoover and that grade changing and bending of the rules.

The population of Hoover boomed in his time at Hoover. Grew nearly 25% in his 9 years.
Hoover HS is the best public HS in the state, has far and away the best Athletic Department, and had a huge national presence in his time (MTV show, national rankings, first live HS football game aired on ESPN.) Hoover didn't need to recruit players. Families flock to move to Hoover with their athlete children not just for football but for all sports.

Hoover's run over the last 15 years is historic and the records they've set in the state will never be broken.
So say he is the best in Alabama, which is the world to you I guess. Saying he is the best in the country when Jt Curtis is 530-56 with 26 State Titles and an arse stumping of Hoover on national tv makes you look like an inbred redneck that doesnt leave the state

ETA: Relax before yall freak out I am saying this in good fun

JC Curtis is nothing but a football factory. They illegally recruit players and give them scholarships for "academics" and bullshite, juice up on steroids, and are about as dirty as they come.
And Hoover isnt? When Probst was at Hoover they were public only in name. People were moving out there completely for football and would have sacrificed human babies for football wins

I would like to retort also in good fun

JC beat Hoover by 2 TDs on the back of a 5* RB. The 2nd or 3rd worst Hoover team since 200. Hardly an arse stumping.

What JC has done is impressive but it's a private school that can openly recruit, was founded to be a football factory, and competes in small classifications.

Hoover HS has only existed since 1994 and since 2000 has made it to the state finals 14 out of 15 years winning 9 state championships at the highest level of Alabama HS sports.

John Curtis HS has won state championships in 50% of the football seasons it has competed in. Hoover is almost there winning 9/20 (all coming in the last 15 years.) Both have a very impressive football history, but Hoover has done it against much tougher competition.

I think Curtis beating the shite out of Hoover at Hoover proves they could handle the competition argument.....

In a year Hoover didn't win state with John Curtis' GOAT player. Congrats, but JC doesn't want a piece of Hoover anymore.

There are multiple schools in LA that would beat Hoover

Also Jt is just one coach. I would say there are 20-30 others with better careers than Probst. Calling him the best coach ever was hilarious, that was my only point

You're wrong on both counts. I'm not arguing with you anymore. That's all there is to it and you're just going to have to deal with it. K? Good.

I'm glad this is on the last page because this warrants a response. You're out of your frickin mind if you actually think this is true in regards to anything outside of athletics
