Ironically, UGA can't beat backup Bama QBs.

Great point! Maybe Alabama should start their backup Saturday.

We’d have still lost. I’m worried about Okie State and making CFP’s this year though.

That was on Greg Davis running his little 6 foot 1 scrawny QB straight into a 330 lb d linemen was always a bad idea even if he didn't pinch his nerve.
All because Greg Davis had no elite running backs and zero running game. Pretty sure Colt was the leading rusher of that team in both 2008 and 2009 (and never rushed close to 1,000 yards)

Per his autobiography: "I had 'em. I knew everything they were going to do before they did it." He thinks they would have won.

That’s funny, because he had 2 completions for 9 passing yards, and zero rushing yards.

TBF, Colt’s experience masked a lot of the OL problems that were starting to develop towards the end of Mack’s tenure.

Correct. If Texas somehow wins that game, it would've been the worst o line to win a title in at least 20 years

Guess who couldn’t predict getting hit so hard he had to quit.
According to Colt the hit itself wasn't that bad, it was just a matter of hitting his arm/shoulder at the wrong spot causing him to temporarily lose feeling in his throwing arm. It's football, it happens..move on.

Yep, I feel like the 08 team was better than 09. If only Jamaal Charles would have come back for his senior year.

Even still with throwing Squints in the game, it was still only a 3 point game with 3 min left. The score is not indicative of how that game played out. I put a lot of the blame for that game on Greg Davis. He still called it like Colt was back there slinging it. I mean come on, a fricking shovel pass? Idiot.

I have no clue what possessed Mack Brown to have designed QB runs for McCoy against that Alabama defense

Of course he does. There is zero evidence that he would have and some pretty good evidence he wouldnt have but since we dont know for sure he choses to believe he would have

You may want to revisit the play by play results prior to his injury and the quotes from Will Muschamp who was Saban's DC/AHC prior to Texas.. there's an abundance of evidence to suggest otherwise.

He thinks they would have won.

Was he also going to play defense? Both Ingram and Richardson rushed for over 100 yards each.

It's funny how Bama fans think star player injuries only matter when it happens to their team.

Unfortunately this cesspool of a "forum" doesn't represent the real Bama fanbase.

I am a Bama fan and have never once said "BUT IF JAMESON WURNT HURT".

Every group has their fair share of bad apples.

With your backup in 2021?

Wtf? Lol

Don't tell me that you are going to brag about beating a 7 win Ohio team with a first year QB during a covid epidemic. Lol

Lol you're smarter than this. If Texas' QB doesn't turn it over 5 times and go three and out almost every other drive, I think the defense would've been a little less gassed.

In the first quarter, they sacked McElroy like 4 times and held Alabama scored a whopping 0 points.
