It would be pretty gut wrenching to lose your QB in the title game.

IIRC, Bama barely threw the ball that game anyway. Very different times. Colt might have done enough to put pressure on them, not sure.

He did play.

Bama made him quit in the biggest game of his life.

At the most, one less trophy in Bama's trophy case. At the least, one less asterisk next to a championship.

Texas wins. Saban leaves Bama and goes back to LSU. LSU wins 10 titles. Bama dismantles their football program. Millions of rednecks commit suicide. Your life is better.

Too bad it didn't happen, would have been nuts.

Its not our fault Colt was made out of glass.

Well, so was Tua. If he had stayed healthy I believe we would have won 4 natty's in a row (Mac Jones in 2020).

They barely threw because Bama had no chance at stopping Texas pass rush. McElroy attempted 11 passes and got sacked 5 times

Maybe. But it was going pretty well until the loss of a WR.

The score was 6-6 when he got hurt.

They've been starting the 3rd string QB since week 4

Wouldn't that make him the starter? I mean he started every game except one, didn't he?

In fairness, didn't he win the Heisman that year? That might have made a difference.

Really??? Texas University must have been up big at that point? LOL.
Not sure. Texas University didn't play in that game

The University of Texas however did play in that game, and they were pretty noticeably in charge throughout the first quarter.

14 year melt?

Greg McElroy played the entire championship game with broken ribs, significantly limiting our passing attack. Sorry your guy wasn’t as tough.

Not tough enough to have a 13-year career in the NFL? I'm sure McElroy's career was just as long if not longer.

And who's melting? Didn't Texas utterly humiliate your school earlier this season?

If LSU lost their starting qb vs Bama in 2009...we might have actually won that game.

Per his autobiography:

He thinks they would have won.

Win or lose isn't the funny part. The funny part is an Aggie knowing anything in the colt autobiography lol. Rent free

You guys won this season and I don't care anymore. We won 14 years ago and you are still bitter. That's a long melt.
