I can appreciate your diplomacy and pragmatism. Seems we can't have any real discussion on here during the offseason. I'm partly to blame though, won't lie.

Well, we are getting to the "twitchy" part of the off season. We are sooo close yet still have to wait. I expect the waters here to be filled with chum until the end of August.

"With good QB play..." Isn't a given.
You cannot assume good QB play unless you've seen it before from that player

You can't assume good defensive play if you've never seen it from that whole unit

The mental gymnastics LSU fans go through to diminish Chavis is embarrassing. How old are you? Please just be a child. It would make a lot more sense.

I'm 20...no mental gymnastics...that also wasn't a shot at Chavis. I was just saying as we all know, yall suck arse on defense. So even with a DC change what makes you think it will be drastically different?

Defensive coordinators have made turn around before, especially proven ones. It happens every year at programs all over the country. It's one of the constants in College football. You can't make a person drastically more effective throwing the football. A guy that completes 55% of his passes doesn't magically complete 70% of his passes. That literally never happens. So the mental gymnastics used to equate the two, is typical swamp kitten delusion. But you're only 20. Maybe you need to experience the world outside of Baton Rouge.

Either way I'm going to continue to be an LSU fan
If you go to Ole Miss, you won't. I was born into an Auburn family, and went to State. I wore an orange and blue tie to the Auburn game while I was pledging (I was 18 and stupid), didn't get much crap during the game, but when State was soundly beaten and I got back to the house, the actives "educated" me on the importance of always supporting the Bulldogs. My father drove the point home when he refused to talk to me the entire thanksgiving break during Cam-gate. I still have a soft spot for Auburn, and likely always will, but I could never bring myself to pull for them again.

Chance for?
8-4 season- very good
Better than that- Probably not gonna happen
My reasoning is not losses to Bama or Auburn but the break evens with Ole Miss and Arkie. Also very average Florida teams are taking them to the wire.
They tend to get up for Bama and A&M but never see the same intensity in other games and championship teams bring it every week. You're gonna have one or two games a year where you're not "there" but LSU seems to have them way too often. Aside from the losses they had last year they dang near had two more with Wiscy and Florida.

There's so much conflicting info in this post I don't know what to make of it. You grew up a lifelong Auburn fan but changed to being a State fan because Fraternity Actives told you to? You're going to always have a soft spot for Auburn but can never pull for them again? And finally, I'm assuming your dad is an Auburn fan, but wont talk to you because of Cam-gate? And by the way, the fact that your father would ever not speak to you, unless you killed his wife, is stupid especially over football.

Even if Brandon Harris plays up to his potential, he's still only the third or fourth most talented QB in the division. I hope y'all understand that.
