I'd say 14-1. We're playing 15 this year. Book it.

I would give the edge to Auburn at QB, and I think coaching is closer to a push.
You may be right about that... all I know is that I'd rather see Muschamp on the sidelines than Kevin Steele, and at the collegiate level, Malzhan has been destroying teams for years while Cameron seems to be having difficulty adjusting to the amateur level.

I'll book it...with good QB play

I actually think November 28th could be a battle of 11-0 teams in Baton Rouge.

We already established that on the first page LSU will be 11-0 not the Ags

Chances for the playoff?
Right now, not good.
If your QB play is solid you guys can make it though.

That's my whole argument, with good QB play...I like our chances over anyone
Posted on 7/26/15 at 8:49 pm to BugaPainTrain7
I'd agree with that. Need to find some depth on the interior DL as well, but if yall have a QB that plays well you have the talent to push for the playoff.

Hopefully we can avoid some injuries on the DL, if so we will be in good shape

I predict you have more than one highlight this season. So, upgrade from last year.

Auburn might have a better QB on paper right now, but thats because Brandon Harris is too raw at the moment.
But to say Auburn has better RB's and WR's then LSU is ignorant.
Fournette and Williams for LSU are gonna be in peoples heads half way through the year.
Dural and Dupree at WR for LSU are studs, not to mention the depth we have.
All these dudes who I have named were true freshman last year, besides Dural. And they all showed how dominant they will be. (Brandon Harris has some learning to do, but will most likely surprise everyone just because he has loaded talent around him)

9-4 at best. Defense will be worse that what LSU normally fields. Terrible hire. Auburn will hang 60 on LSU!

losses to Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, MSU and OM

quote:
QB: Push - Both Jeremy Johnson and Brandon Harris have tremendous physical gifts. Neither have done shite at the college level.
Brandon Harris: 45 attempts, 55% completion, 6 TD 2 INT, 175 qb rating
Jeremy Johnson: 78 attemtpts, 73% completion, 9 TD 2 INT, 198.4 qb rating
Edge - Auburn. JJ has been better with a bigger sample size. JJ is far more accurate. JJ has been composed at all times, while Harris has at times looked like a deer in the headlights with Jordan Jefferson eyes.
quote:
RB: LSU - Leonard Fournette, the #1 overall recruit in 2014, rushed for 1000 yards as a true freshman. Roc Thomas, the #23 overall recruit in 2014, rushed for 200 yards as a true freshman, 100 fewer than Darrel Williams, the #250 overall recruit in 2014.
Won't argue with you, but Fournette was the featured back and barely broke 1000. Roc Thomas had 3 seniors with a combined 2770 yards and 27 TDs in front of him.
You fail to mention Auburn also has two other 5*s and a highly rated 4* to go along with Roc, including Jovon Robinson who set JUCO records for rushing yards and TDs
quote:
WR: LSU - Duke Williams is the only legitimate receiving threat Auburn possesses
Well that's just not true at all. With our offense the last two years they just aren't as proven statistically. Melvin Ray and Ricardo Louis will both be joining Duke in the draft next spring. Tony Stevens and Marcus Davis are two other guys that have come up big when given the chance.
Edge - Auburn: Our #1 is better, our overall depth is better.
quote:
OL: Auburn
FIFY
LT: Shon Coleman - returning starter from top SEC rushing attack.
LG: Alex Kozan - Freshman All-American in 2013 who missed 2014. Graded out by NFL scouts as the highest rated player in the BCSNCG vs FSU in a game filled with 1st rounders on both sides
C: Austin Golson - former Freshman All-American at Ole Miss
RG: Braden Smith - strongest man in CFB, and athletic enough to have come in at TE in certain sets last year as a true freshman
RT: Avery Young - senior starting for his 4th year. Anchor on the right side of the top SEC rushing attack the last two years.
quote:
DT: LSU
Montravious Adams and Devonte Lambert are better than your guys
quote:
LB: Push - Kendell Beckwith and Lamar Louis are roughly comparable to Cassanova McKinzy and Kris Frost, and neither team has a clear option at the other OLB spot.
Auburn actually has a very clear option at the other spot. Tre' Williams, 5*, #1 LB and #22 overall recruit from 2014. He started against LSU, you should remember him.
I guess that gives the edge to Auburn...
quote:
DB: LSU - no explanation needed.
Again, not going to argue, LSU has better DB's. However you're clearly selling Auburn short from your comment. Auburn isn't deep at DB, but our starters can hang with anybody.
S: Trey Matthews - beast who started for UGA as a true freshman
S: Rudy Ford - led AU in tackles last year with 93. also had 3 INTs
CB: Jonathon Jones - 2nd team All-SEC, 6 INTs, 11 PBU, won AU's DPOY award
CB: Blake Countess - grad transfer from Michigan, All-Big Ten as junior and sophomore and All-Freshman Big Ten. Started 30 games for Michigan and also has a 6 INT season.

LSU may damn well have a better quarterback too. Harris may or may not be better than JJ. We've not seen enough of either of them to annoint one as being better than the other.
This might be correct. We will find out quickly. The question is probably more along how long it will take Harris/Johnson to be comfortable leading their offenses. However, Auburn has the advantage as to who they play early to iron out wrinkles, while LSU will have to go to Miss State for their second game.
LSU should be a lot better this year, but 2-3 losses in the SEC would not be surprising. That goes for any team in the West by the way.

I will be livid if we lose 3 games
