Everybody will know what to expect after week 1, I believe. We gotta see how whoever is starting at QB will do.

I really not going to Ole Miss, I just have a bunch of friends who go there and everytime I get drunk with them they somehow convince me to goto Ole Miss then I wake up in the morning and say just not for me. I do love Ole Miss though if I wasn't born and raised in BR. I would goto Ole Miss in a heartbeat

No flame, I don't think much of LSU this year.
On offense you have no QB and an overrated RB. Your strength is WR, but who will get them the ball enough to make plays?
On defense I don't think it will be the typical LSU defense people are used to and LSU fans are hoping will bail out the offense. You have a couple elite guys and the rest are just average SEC players. You're a small step above what people tear Ole Miss down for.

That post is laughable. No flame but in your first sentence you say one of the leading Heisman Canidates coming into this season is overrated
We have 3 QBs
We have one of the most talented rosters in the country this season.
Get scrubbed down in TS this season gump.
We will see who's overrated when Young Buga Fournette is 12 inches deep in Muschamps arse

I know you're a young kid, but being a "leading Heisman candidate" going into the season means nothing. Every single year a player or two gets hyped as a preseason Heisman hopeful only to fall flat on their face. Ask the Ole Miss posters in this board about Jevan Snead.

That suck. Congrats

Having a good OL is like having a strong starting rotation in baseball. It keeps you in every game and can mask flaws in other areas of your team. There's no doubt LSU is among the best in the biz up front on offense.
But, at some point, you do have to throw the ball and recounting LSU's deficiencies at QB last year almost seems like de facto trolling. They need magnitudes of improvement here or 3+ losses is staring them in the face.
The other area for concern, I would think, is the DL. With the losses of Valentine and LMFAO inside, LSU will be stout but thin depth-wise at DT. Any significant injuries here and things could snowball. Also, the pass rush last season was pedestrian at best. Some of the youngsters are going to have to step up to allow that great secondary to do what it is more than capable of*.
*There's also the "first year kinks" of a new DC to consider. If the offense struggles, any defensive breakdowns or communication issues will be magnified.

Our most experienced WR returning was a sophomore, and had less than 10 catches in 2013. That always seems to get ignored in the QB narrative.

"Couple of elite guys and the rest are just average sec players"
So lemme guess, you think Auburn is stacked full of elite players?

I think that's a fair analysis. I don't think we'll have any new DC kinks just because Steele and Chavis are best friends and Steele was around a lot 2 years ago. I'm concerned about that hire long term but in year 1 I think it will be pretty seamless.
There's optimism just because this is the first time in a long time that we're actually brining a lot of our team back. We'll see, I could see a 9-3 year but I could also see 11-1 if things fall into place.

Loaded with talent but inferior coaching. Same as every year.
