They'd lose to half the teams in that league for sure

The best thing about Les being gone is that you will always be able to say, "We lost every single one of those games to that son of a bitch".

LSU 14-0 in first quarter and Les tries to run out the clock

Since 2005 only three coaches in CFB have a greater average margin of victory in wins and only one a lower average margin of defeat in losses.

In other words, Miles routinely had more blow outs than almost anyone else.

What about since 2012?

Don't worry aTm's annual defeat by the Tigers is right on schedule. All the Mizzou game tells us is that the margin of victory will be greater.

Go watch the Mississippi State game. The results would have been similar.

LSU would jump out to a lead the sit on it as Mizzu made a comeback.

Miles beat Kentucky 41-3 in 2014 and Auburn 45-21 last year, and Mizzu might be worse than both of them this year.

I just don't see the justification for this line of thinking. Les routinely year after year crushed teams of that caliber.

It's obvious that you don't watch LSU football. Your prognosis of the program is like every other media member who only looks at scores and W-L records at the end of the year. As as very detailed LSU fan I could see the writing on the wall during the 2010 season....and even during the undefeated 2011 season.

LSU just broke their own SEC offensive yardage record against Missouri with over 600 yards....we ran over 70 plays as well and kept the ball for 43 minutes. I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that a Miles coaches team would have won in the neighborhood of 31-16 and the game would have been ugly.

Just wait a couple of weeks and come back and tell me that you don't see a different with this team. Their were some big issues in the locker room with Miles towards the end....and do I really even need to discuss the offensive mindset with him running the show?

What? They certainly could have

Great defense is impacted by the offense. Getting a big lead on a team changes everything

I assert the final score would not have been significantly different with Miles at the healm. Mizzu certainly wouldn't have had anymore success on offense than they did.

MSU had the ball with a chance to beat us at the end of the game

We haven't thrown quick passes like that all season, it was refereshing.

LSU would have narrowly beaten them if Les had coached.

Miles routinely did this and yet as soon as he is gone we have more first downs in the first half since 2004 and the most yards in an SEC game EVER for LSU. Hmmmm, I wonder why fans are optimistic. It's how we won. Minimized mistakes and penalties, executed and didn't try to just ram it down their throat via I-formation all night.
