He let MSU hang around and they made it interesting. Mizzou would have done the same thing.
LSU 28- Mizzou 24
LSU 28- Mizzou 24

21-13 with LSU scoring late to make it look better than it was.

24-17 LSU. It would have been uglier and much closer than 42-7. Vegas is going to miss Les.

LSU wins with Miles but the game would not have been the skull fricking it was. Anyone who has watched Mizzou the last 2-3 years has not seen them dominated like that. Hell it was even worse then the Bama beatdown in the SECCG in 2014. I was skeptical when LSU fans talked before the game about how LSU would be fired up. They were right and I was totally wrong.

LSU's defense shut down Mizzou's offense, and that would not have changed.
Offensively, you wouldn't have seen WRs Jazz Ferguson or Russell Gage playing at all. You wouldn't have seen LSU using 3/4 wide receiver sets almost half the time (until the fourth quarter when LSU had such a huge lead it was trying to run out the clock). You wouldn't have seen LSU use the Ace formation much and you wouldn't have seen much of the run/pass option plays LSU ran.
None of that takes into account the fact that Miles used to wear the players out with long practices, something that Orgeron immediately changed. So the team also had fresher legs. If Miles were still coaching that game would have been close in the third quarter, about 10-7, before LSU scored a couple more times to win 24-7. No way LSU even scores 30 though.

And 1 was against an FCS team and another against possibly the worst defense in FBS.

I assert the final score would not have been significantly different with Miles at the healm.
We only scored 34 vs Jacksonville State. I think the offense would have put up at least one or two TDs less under Miles.

Mizzu certainly wouldn't have had anymore success on offense than they did.
The defense played with the most energy I've seen from an LSU defense since 2012. Part of the success on that side of the ball has to do with learning Aranda's system over time. But all the players talked about how Orgeron had them practicing less which made them fresher for the game.

We also had possession of the ball for over 40 minutes. The defense was fresh all game. That is due to the changes on the offensive side of the ball.
