92 champs and then the most frustrating period ever for me as a fan. Was mostly a wait till next year fan, I always thought we would rise again but did not think it would that long.

I was a wait until next year kind of guy myself. We seemed so close from greatness in a lot of those seasons. A little bit more depth in one position or another seemed the only thing we needed to get over the hump. Once Saban got here and started winning, I came to realize that we were no where close to that hump during the Shula years.

Well, we certainly weren't up to our usual standards, but we did win enough games to have made A LOT of programs very happy, but just not Bama.
One things for sure, no OTHER program can boast of such a rich history.
Especially in the SEC.

Honestly, by 2006 I came to the conclusion we were done and never coming back. I kind of accepted it. Then we almost hired Rich Rod and Jim Grobe and that reinforced it.

Enjoyed the good seasons that were sprinkled in. We knew we'd be back eventually. When your program is one of the best, you know you'll be back. It was that simple. It's football. Odds are your team has a down period or two.

We added on to the Bryant Museum to make room for more trophies because we are Alabama and we knew it would only be a matter of time before we returned to the top. We are Alabama!
