I gotta say, as a yankee idiot who has only listened to Finebaum for like 3 or 4 months since he joined XM, I don't get it. I hear how he is a man of the people and is so good at stirring the pot?! He mumbles into the mic and lets the same four callers run their dumb commentary every day. Focuses on Bama/Barn 24/7. Has next to no interviewing skills other than letting Tim Brando run his game for an hour. This guy should be making $10 an hour hosting/producing his own backwater show.

He did in the Bama postgame presser and if I'm not mistaken, he talked about it on Scott Van Pelt's radio show.

ETA:
quote:

Asked about eating the grass in the postgame press conference, Miles said he does it every game. "Yeah, you know what I do," Miles said, "I've got a little tradition that humbles me as a man that let's me know I'm part of the field. It's going to be all over the Internet. You know what? You should have seen some games before this. I know one thing, the grass in Tiger Stadium tastes best."

He is the village idiot of the SEC.
What does that say about the rest of the coaches in the SEC, considering Les' record?

Why are there people who still hate Miles? He's doing exactly what we hired him to do, win. 63-17 (give or take a game or so). What else does he have to do to get respect?

Les is great for the SEC. Not only because he's a great coach, but because he's very personable. Saban is a great coach, but he's not personable at all. Petrino is a great coach, but he's not personable, nor is he really approachable. At least that's what I've heard from Hog fans that I know.

Number of SEC teams who won the National Championship when Saban was at LSU?

1 - LSU in 2003

Number of SEC teams who won the National Championship since Miles has been at LSU?

5 - Florida in 2006, LSU in 2007, Florida in 2008, Alabama in 2009, Auburn in 2010

Miles has had MORE success at LSU in a MUCH tougher SEC than Saban had at LSU in a weaker SEC.

Someone count how many ranked teams Miles has faced at LSU and compare that to how many ranked teams Saban coached against at LSU.

Saban is a great coach. He's amazing. But, Les has kept things going and has even gotten better.

"This guy should be making $10 an hour hosting/producing his own backwater show."

Pretty much the point I was trying to make in my previous post. I should have been more clear.

If I were Chicken, I would delete any thread, that contained the word Finebaum. The longer this thread lives, the more he wins. See, I even got sucked in.

No more posts on this thread, PLEASE. The word Finebaum or any reference to the show should not be used on this site.....at all

Let's move on please

Funny how Finedick didn't even acknowledge the big LSU win over his beloved Tide ... what a weak pencil-necked bald dweeb.

Finebaum did mention any coach could win at LSU and basically said LSU is winning despite the idiot that is labled the "Hat".

If anybody should be able to win at LSU, then isn't that true about Alabama a school. with much more tradition of success than LSU? Then what was Alabama's excuse for not winning from Stallings to Saban? How often was Finebaum referring to the Alabama coaches as the village idiot? Finebaum knows better than to shite in his own bed, but he is hardly a model of consistency when it comes to standards for comparison.

I agree. The guy just flat out wins ballgames. Anyone that hate's on him constantly, Finescum in particular, is just pissed because everytime he brings Les up he losses more and more credibility..

that is a great point. The sec was completely weak in 2001. In 2003, it wasn't that strong either.
