It's every other fan of every other team except you.
I grew up in FL, went to school with FSU grads, have friends who started for FSU who all think they were very lucky to win that game.
I'm sorry that you're dumb enough to believe that a coach who gets paid 4 million a year isn't smart enough to change his signals. And again....if he didn't, the that's his own damn fault,
And... You've yet to explain Auburn's success again the FSU defense? Did we steal those signals too?
If I had gotten my arse whipped as badly as you have have in this thread, I wouldn't post at all in here for a long while! You must have no shame.

Even if you believe this lame arse shite, it's not even practical. You think Auburn devised a way to communicate pass routes to each individual CB for each FSU WR before each play? It's not plausible or practical. A play has to be called from the booth, a signal sent out, and then a counter call from the DC has to be made. That call then must be communicated to the defense.

Defensive counter calls happen ALL THE TIME

A coach feeling the need to go to the media and give an excuse for getting his arse beat in that manner is perhaps the most pathetic thing I've ever seen a coach do

I would agree that it was pathetic if I had any reason at a to believe that he was lying, which I don't.

And neither does anyone in this thread.

FSU was the much better team, and they would have won by a much larger margin had their coach done something sooner about the signal stealing.

eh they were probably the better team but they weren't a much better team. Check the statline, they got flat dominated on both sides of the ball for a long time.

I didn't realize that an OL only plays shitty if the other team knows the signals...

FSU's OL got flat out dominated the entire first half. That has absolutely nothing to do with signals, that was them coming in thinking they were going to flatten AU's defense, but they were smacked in the mouth and didn't know what to do. But they came to play in the second half and rightfully won the game. Our offense got shut down in the second half until that final drive, while FSU was finally able to gain momentum. It's quite simple

I've said repeatedly that this wasn't smart on his part. So did he.

This is completely irrelevant to the discussion, and I have explained this, but I'll do it again.....

Sometimes, when a team's offense is struggling to control the ball, and the defense is stuck on the field longer than they are used to (especially a team like FSU, that had not experienced this all season), the defense gets tired, and the opposing offense has an easier time moving the ball.

But if you want, I'll concede that AU's offense is supreme, and that is the only reason that FSU had difficulty stopping them.

Really?

You must be kinda stupid to not know that DBs knowing routes could lead to sacks.

not sure what you want me to say to that because that's not a logically falsifiable statement but if you watch the game, Auburn was the more physical team for almost the entire night.

Florida State had a great team, but you overrate them.

No, Ross. The only reason the SEC champ was in that game at all was because Auburn cheated.

No. We all think you sound like Corky.
If you aren't an FSU homer, it's even more pathetic.

I don't know.... Everyone else seems to be taking the position that Jimbo is just making excuses, or spewing a bunch of irrelevant drivel about AU's offense dominating FSU's defense, as if this has ANYTHING to do with AU stealing FSU's offensive signals.

I have not seen the game all the way through since it aired, so I can't agree/disagree with AU being a more physical team overall. Without watching though, I would tend to agree with you.

Miyagi, have you seriously been arguing with people about this game when you haven't even watched it through? Are you serious? Any credibility you thought you had just flew out the window

Honestly, what most likely happened was that the defense was getting gassed. You don't see a game that is only 21-13 at the end of the third quarter finish 34-31 without just seeing the defense giving up the points that they did.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the threads and pressers after the game, so I honestly didn't hear about any claims of stealing signals. I will note if that was the case, then why did FSU only have 3 points in the third quarter, and two 3 and outs that netted a combined negative 4 yards between them?

Auburn was, likely, at least a year ahead of schedule. I doubt any reasonable Auburn fans saw them get as far as they did last year, considering the depth levels (especially on defense). That depth issue is why FSU suddenly looked so much better on offense in the fourth quarter. One thing the box score doesn't really tell us is exactly how long the AU offense held the ball. They won TPOS with over 33 minutes, but did they milk the play clock even when the game clock was stopped (like when going out of bounds, etc?)

It's a pretty weak fan to accuse a team of cheating. It takes a VERY weak type of fan to accuse a team of cheating because they didn't win by enough.

FSU won that game because of a kickoff return TD and excellent DL play in the 2nd half.

Mostly, but not entirely.

FSU DL and secondary did well 2nd half. LB corp sucked. Their run game was awful against AU DL. They won the game off the KO TD and AU's secondary is really just pathetic.

Correct, losing Jake Holland is addition by subtraction. Dline and LBs should be legit. Jury is still out on the secondary but we're excited about our Safety Derrik Moncrief 6'3 225lb rated the #1 Juco Safety

I expect Boo Moncrief to be a big time player for the Aubs. The rest of the secondary would be hard pressed to defend anyone. The interior D should be pretty decent but it appears to be shaping up as a typical Gus team... the offense better score in bunches cause the defense will give up some points.
