4) Appy State is a good football team and would finish 4th in the east imo.

They might win one game in the East, maybe, in so many ways they are NOT a good football team and I think their coach should take the blame for that loss, although lucky breaks/calls still won it for Tenn.

This is 100% accurate. They may he good for the Sun Belt, but would go 1-7, 2-6 in the SEC East.

No passing game, no kicker, and their OL only looked good when UT was playing as if APP St could pass.

Here is what I took from last night's game. 1) Tennessee's offensive line is not good. 2) Tennessee's offensive coordinator is a fricking idiot. 3) Josh Dobb's makes terrible decisions with the football. 4) Appy State is a good football team and would finish 4th in the east imo. 5) Butch Jones is a snake oil salesman and should be put in jail for the failure of a coach he is.

+1

The play calling was Jim Cheney awful.

I think it was one game the first game thing. I was laughing my arse off but I know here shortly we might be in the same boat at 2:30 tomorrow. I'm hoping we come out and blow the socks off Wisky but I would bet it will be a close game into the second half with us hopefully pulling away in the 4th.

I think it showed a bit more than that. It showed your DL got gashed up the middle.
It showed you OL couldn't block. (APP St. got more yardage in exactly the same number of carries)
It showed Dobbs can make questionable decisions when under duress.
It showed when Tennessee gets behind they don't panic.
It showed that Dobbs gives it his all when trying to go into the end zone.
It showed Tennessee has a lot of work to do.
It showed that if Tennessee takes anyone lightly, they can be beaten by that team.

It showed we won.

It showed Mr. Dobbs throwing a 67 yard TD pass.

They have played down to their opponents, that is true.

I don't think I have any illusions. Jones is not a very good game day coach.

We could lose any of the remaining games on the schedule.

But remember what Churchill said:

“In War: Resolution,
In Defeat: Defiance,
In Victory: Magnanimity
In Peace: Good Will.”

UGA's Chubb went down trying to get one extra yard. He always did that. It finally caught up with him.

It is only prudent to think about the next play.

Yea, when your going down from your shoe string getting touched and making a smart decision to get out of bounds instead of picking up an extra yard are two different things.

it appears that FSU is on the uptick. Clemson is on the uptick. both USCe and UF have also had coaching upheavals.

UT has always struggled w/o top notch recruiters. UGA is a question mark but first year HC's rarely tear it up, esp with no experienced QB.

ergo, the east is a mess and may take awhile to return to glory.

Your middle school analogy doesn't apply here.

No. What's new about TN being the off season champs that ends when the first game is played. This isn't something new

Your position seems to be that you should be jumping me and Vols&shaft and Phat Phil and the other Vol posters -because- we tell ESPN, Finebaum and the other media outlets what they should be reporting on.

Right?

I told Finebaum myself -- you better pump us up or else!

Didn't I?

If that made sense to you, then you will know how stupid you sound.

It was an embarrassment prior to Saturday's games. Now it's an achievement
