Right, so that's why they got Aranda nearly instantly after they let Steele go after the bowl game

Well there was a chance of him leaving and it was coaching hiring season

Aranda was the right choice but he couldn't beat his old team(Wisconsin) or the coach he replaced(steele)

And they made no attempt to stop him and hired Aranda instead. Not sure what you're not getting. LSU didn't try to match Chavis' A&M contract either.

What did I make up? I said 1 year contract instead of 2 year contract. Either way, the contract had the Miles clause and that's why Steele got out and LSU didn't try to bring him back. All I know is that Miles wanted Aranda after going against him in 2014 but Alleva wanted to include the Miles clause in Aranda's contract too. Steele agreed to the Miles contract and came aboard. After 2015 Alleva dropped the Miles clause requirement and hired Aranda who is still here and has since been extended and been given a raise to be the highest paid DC in the country.

Right. So are you willing to say that Steele is better than Aranda, then?

Aranda coached the offense? Didn't know that! Wow!

And LSU instantly hired Dave Aranda afterward. There was no coaching search like after Chavis left. Aranda was lined up, dude.

Once again, would you say that Steele is better than Aranda?

You've done it now NYC. Bowl got rmnldr all riled up a couple of weeks ago about AU's second string D and the guy went on a retaliation rage and started threads every day. Now he's going to take off on this Steele>Aranda and go on all week.

It's a simple question that he is avoiding. Not sure what's going on there.

Yeah his defense held Wisconsin to 16 points which was their 2nd lowest of the season, and far below their average. Good point.

Yes LSU hired someone after they lost their last guy. Did you expect them to go without a DC?

Aranda finished with a better defense. That wasn't my question though.

Is Kevin Steele a better defensive coordinator than Dave Aranda?

ETA: ah, the elusive triple post. well done

sure why not? Steele did just as well as Aranda last year, and basing it on what LSU fans always say, they have the most elite defensive talent in the land. So with that in mind, Steele might possibly be better. Guess you'll see this year, don't be too busy watching Stidham tear your arse up tho

what else would you base Aranda's rep on? Time at Wisconsin? You're joking right?
