Did we know about the current player too?
Maybe he's been talked about.

A.J. Johnson and current cornerback Michael Williams have been indicted by a Knox County grand jury after a lengthy rape investigation, their attorneys said Thursday.

The story was just updated it looks like:
quote:
The presentment returned against Williams charges him with two counts of aggravated rape.
The initial story was that they couldn't confirm Michael Williams status.
EDIT: Updated OP since Michael Williams' attorney has confirmed he was indicted and he has already turned himself in and released on bond.
quote:
“I will confirm that I received a notification (from the Knox County District Attorney General’s office) that a presentment had been returned against him alleging rape,” said Williams’ attorney, David Eldridge. “Mr. Williams turned himself in to the Knox County jail and was released on a $40,000 bond.”

Nevermind.
I read the list wrong.
It is descending from Least Rapiest to Most Rapiest.
I apologize.
Tennessee is a rapiest state for sure.

That list shows the number of reported forcible rapes per 100,000 people. Lower on the list = more reported rapes. Of course the actual number of rapes isn't known. It's possible that states that are higher on the list simply under report the number.

You are right. TN is pretty rapey.

I figured they'd get indicted just based on what I've heard, especially Williams and because there's something like a 95% indictment rate if it goes to the Grand Jury but I didn't think they'd get indicted this fast after the DA's foot dragging. It took forever for the DA to present it and about zero time for the indictment.
If found guilty at trial they deserve whatever happens to them.

Sad, just sad. What's with the schools in that state? Vandy first, now Tennessee. smdh.
Both campuses have agreements with their respective cities and the cities are used to handling stuff like this. With anything serious, Vandy hands off to Metro and UT hands off to KPD.
We don't keep things like this in house. THIS is the reason I'm proud of both schools and don't give Vandy shite over their case. The same can't be said for a lot of schools but it needs to be the norm here and it needs to be the norm EVERYWHERE. Let the trial jury determine guilt or innocence.

Is the victim the same for both players?
