How many actual seats does Swayze have? Wiki says it has 6,100 actual seats, and claims 4,000 students in the outfield

Baum has over 10,700 chairbacks and 34 luxury suites.

It shits all over Swayze.

all the things Ole Miss is planning to add at Swayze, LSU already has. A players lounge, an indoor facility, team meeting room, in house training facility, etc. But I'm sure you already knew that

You act as if the entire stadium is bleachers, it's not. LSU has more boxes than does Swayze. It's concourses are much bigger with many more amenities.

Basically the only issue you can come up with is we have too many ads (sorry our program generates money) and you don't like that we have some metal seats. The Box is still, overall, a better facility than is Swayze. Just like all the other facilities at Ole Miss, they've been playing catch up to everyone else. Anything new y'all have built that excites your fan base, LSU and the rest of the big boys have had for awhile

Baum is probably the golden standard for college baseball stadiums, and if iirc they are extending the boxes even further down the third base line and wrapping them out into the left field seating

ETA: I like how he also said Alabama's new stadium was designed after Swayze. It's actually the same architect LSU used and the design is very similar to the Box. They just added bricks instead of the spanish style stucco LSU uses.

I've been to the new box. It looks like shite in several areas of the stadium.

You have a really nice outer facade. Your video board is comparable to ours if you're only taking into consideration relevant space on the board....but that bar thing above it makes it look like something you bought from fricking ikea. I'll give you a pass on this, though.

Would also help if you guys could have agreed on only one shade of shitty looking yellow instead of three.

The hanging luxury boxes also look like shite from inside the stadium.

Congrats on putting backs on the bleachers...but they're still bleachers so that was half-assed.

At swayze....all of the seats have individual cup holders and, as you go further down the baselines, the seats are turned slightly towards home plate because we actually give a shite about our fans' ability to comfortably watch the game.

The box looks like how VHS has looks for years....half-assed and looks like three different people designed parts of it.

Ole Miss fans don't know any better. It's precious. Believing they have "the best" of something requires a lot of delusion. Good thing they've had several decades of practice at deluding themselves.

Arkansas has one of these next door, and all of the other stuff that Ole Miss will get "soon".

Plus our next expansion is also on the boards.

The right field can support that many students since they expanded the berm.

Fwiw I went to watch us play in F'ville a couple of years ago. You guys have the best stadium in the sec west. I would say the sec, but I haven't seen USC's yet.

From the pictures I've seen, msu is about to shite all over everyone as long as they don't keep the junkyard out in left field.

that can be fixed fairly easily. LSU just finished a 100 million dollar expansion on their football stadium. Alex Box certainly has minor flaws, but those minor flaws still do not account for the major amenities Ole Miss simply does not have that LSU does (as well as Arkansas, among others)

and you make it sound a lot worse than it really is. This is an older picture, the boxes go all the way down now. I don't know in what universe that "looks like shite"

Ok, so if the entire berm area is at 100% capacity, you get crowds north of 11,000. I highly doubt that figure, but it's one of those things that conveniently can't be determined.

Regardless, even if every seat at Swayze is a chairback, Baum has 4,000 more chairbacks than Swayze. That's an awful lot. And I know there are nowhere near 34 suites at Swayze. Ours are at capacity, which is what is driving the next expansion round.

Point being, Ole Miss's baseball stadium is probably 3rd in the West, and I'd put it below Carolina's as well.

Once again...I've been to the box. I know what the boxes look like from inside the stadium.

They look like they were built doers tell from the stadium and just bolted in....or as I call it...shitty.

We sell GA tickets to both left field and right field. I don't even know if they've listed the possible occupancy of the left field berms.

We don't have individual suites. We have a large club area that goes from about 1st to third base. I like it. If you think that it's shitty and individual boxes are much better...then that's you're opinion and I don't mind it. We just decided on going with a different style of luxury. They have good food served as well as lockers for whatever type of alcohol you want to bring.

As far at The Box goes I will say that it's due some upgrades and tlc. It's almost 10 years old now and with all the money coming in from the SECN we will get left behind if they don't address it soon. However, we're about to drop $20 million on Tiger Stadium to address bathrooms, concessions and concourses so baseball ain't getting shite for a few more years. Our governor and systems president will make damn sure of that.

If the goal for alex box was to be unique, then congrats on that.

I don't know of any other baseball stadium that has multiple shades of yellow.
