Stoll Field. What a memory that place is. Went as a kid. Right across from the old Memorial Coliseum. Wasnt even safe to sit in the stands there.
When we went in to play, whatever year, Bryant told UK he would never play UK again until they get a better facility. Bryant was still very close to the UK brass at that time. They broke ground on Commonwealth literally weeks later.

I never got to see any games at Stoll field. I went as a kid to Commonwealth. I remember going there at the end of the '77 season, hoping to watch Derrick Ramsey play at QB...but he hurt his shoulder the week before. That was the game that Art Still hit Jimmy Streater, causing him to fumble in the final drive, and UK was able to hold on to the win. It was a long ride back to Knoxville (specifically because my dad was a huge UK fan).

As an afterthought...I think that game was the one where the bleachers were covered in about an inch of ice...(it was either that one, or '81...I get them confused). One of those games I sat at Commonwealth and was praying for somebody to pour hot coffee on me.
