The biggest difference last year was Aaron Murray.
He was great, no doubt. But Bobo's playcalling in that game was absolutely outstanding. It was a nearly flawless gameplan to neutralize Clowney and create great opportunities for our offense.

The biggest difference last year was special teams.
The onside kick that Richt called in the 1st qtr last year was the perfect call and amounted to an extra possession for the dogs. That along with a rare Connor Shaw fumble on the UGA 25 was the difference in the game.
You are exactly correct.
I would add one more game changing play.
The very rare dropped pass on third and long by Bruce Ellington along the sidelines ... all three of those plays completely changed the complexion of the game because:
1 - The onside kick was a gamble that worked and changed momentum. Great call by Richt.
2 - The fumble by Shaw deep in UGA territory was very uncharacteristic of Shaw and very costly to the Gamecocks at a key point in the game.
3 - Ellington was always money. When he dropped that ball you could almost feel the wind go out of the sail. It just wasn't going to be our day. Another major momentum changer. The ball hit him right in the numbers, right in the hands, and the most sure handed receiver, maybe in the country, dropped the ball.
