The playoff's will be our best bet to make it to the NC. We always lose 1 game to an inferior team, be it not being fired up for it, coaching, refs, etc, so we might be able to sneak in as the 3rd or 4th seed now.

The next few yrs will define M Richt's career. He will either get over the hump and make it to a NC game or will stay the course and never make it to the NC game. Pretty much Richt's hopes are gonna be riding on Eason's arm the next few yrs.

If there is any moving of the goal post, it is only because Irons Puppet is a moron for using terms like in the discussion for the BCS championship.

A lot of teams have been in the discussion. The bottom line is Georgia has never had the slightest argument for actually playing in the game

Ship or no ship, I for one have respect for Georgia. No one ever walks into a game against Georgia and expects it to be a cakewalk. They are one of the teams that, even in a "down year", you better bring your A game or you could be in for an arse whoopin

You need to read the footnotes when you quote wikipedia.

"Let's just say AU has been in the conversation of the BCSNC three times in the last 15 years. Where does UGA fit in the conversation?"

"I'm talking about after the SECCG? UGA is talked about alot during Aug-early Nov"

"Those are after the Bowl Games."

It's because they recruit top 10 classes like clockwork because the state of Georgia produces more good players than any other state except texas, florida, and cali. And since their main competition for those players is out of state schools, they are always talented.

Add in a solid but not great HC and staff and they are always going to be capable of beating anyone in any given year, be it an up or down year.

I think we've upgraded with Pruitt and company. Time will tell. I think 90% posters on here will agree that Richt has until 2018 or 2019 to get it done.

After the SECCG, UGA has been out of the conversation of the BCS Championship. Just because they finish high in the final polls after the Bowls means nothing. Polls after the BCSCG are for Coaches who are trying to get bonuses that are in their contract. Nobody else cares. No movement of the goalpost.

Guess you should've started with "after the SECCG but before the bowls" instead of moving the goalposts then, huh?

I do not think you want anybody doing a poll on who is a moron. You only hope in that case would be AU fans abstaining.

WTF, only a idiot and a UGA fan was confused by any of those posts.

I agree and was going to add something about Pruitt but got lazy and didnt. He gives me a different feel about UGA and appears to be recruiting lights out. This is worrisome to me as an Aubie. He appears solid and what Richt needs. I don't respect Richt a lot as a coach. I think he is great offensively but erratic and hipocritical. I say that because he seems to encourage some really classless and thug behavior from his players. I think Pruitt is the exact opposite and what Richt needs.

You think the nonauburn fans might vote for you over phan as a moron?

Apparently I have a higher opinion of you than you do yourself.

If that's how you measure success, auburnphan is your daddy. Bama talks about phan on the rant more than we do Coach Bryant.

I don't need a poll to know you are a moron because all you had to say in your original argument is that Georgia has never had a legitimate to play in the BCS championship game. The last two pages of this thread then could have been avoided.

I don't know if he's responsible for it or not but somehow our boosters and admin team have finally started opening up the checkbook and providing the support staff that AU and Bama have had for years. We'll see how it plays out.

Come on man, we're having a nice conversation here. No need for trolling

AU was the best team in the country in 1983 and most deserving. Most agree the AP and UPI got it wrong because they were ignorant.

If Tom Osborne had kicked the XP instead of going for the win we wouldn't even be having this conversation. 12-0-1 is still better than 11-1.

Not trolling. And I recognize Richt does a lot of good in his personal life, the adoptions, etc. I just have an issue with him as a coach not as a person.

That is just my opinion and like the saying goes about opinions and assholes, nothing more.
