They weren't their Conf. Champions. I thought the forfeited every game Bush played in. Don't see how they got away with that. That's beside the point. You saying SC would have beaten Auburn is like you saying a one dimensional Auburn O has no shot against bama. Did you not see the roster that Chex Mix posted? That is stout!!!

I agree with this. Back then, I thought Auburn should have been in the game and I would have taken them to win had they been.

summary, f#*k AU. See y'all in JHS.

and apparently no argument can be made by Auburn fans as to how they would have beaten OU either.

We played the most difficult schedule, had the least amount of close games, had the #1 defense in the nation, had the Thorpe award winner, the SEC Offensive player of the year, 2 top 5 NFL draft pick running backs, a first round draft pick NFL QB, a future perennial All-Pro defensive tackle, four receivers with NFL careers, a pro bowl left tackle and guard...

Just because you aren't smart enough to comprehend what you read doesn't mean the argument can't and hasn't been made.

I don't know who would have won if we had played USC but your analysis is a joke.

You have nothing whatsoever to base that off of other than sheer stupidity. That's like saying AU had no chance of beating atm, uga or bama this year based off the previous year. You're full of shite and know it.

I don't know one single AU fan who thinks we should claim 1993. We did punk Florida though.

And speaking of "cheating" and all, y'all already DO claim a title while getting banned from playing in a bowl game.

Same year where they were not eligible because they were caught cheating.

Huge rocks Auburn is tossing at SC from behind their glass walls...

They give Alabama hell over claiming 1964 and 73...yet they claim 1957. Glass house (s) indeed.

I wonder why we "claim" 1957? Looks pretty bogus now that I look at it.......

1957
*Auburn: AP, Football Research, Helms, National Championship Foundation, Poling, Williamson

Michigan State: Billingsley, Dunkel, Sagarin

*Ohio State: Boand, DeVold, FW, INS, Litkenhous,

UPI
Oklahoma: Berryman
