He needs to get another job. His daughter is getting married in Oxford soon and he'll have to be paying for that.

ive never had much of an issue with brando. his schtick sometimes is forced. and comes across as fake. but not nearly as fake as gus.

as for ole verne, well bless his heart. i like verne, but he needs to retire, imo.

i like gary. the thing i like best about gary, is, when he messes up, he dont ignore it or try to cover it up. he says straight out he missed it. i like that about gary. he dont take his self to serious.

as a strictly play-by-play and TV host guy, brando is fine with me... it's his opinions that suck. his radio show is unlistenable.

No idea what Brando is going to do next. I would guess Fox Sports 1 will be his landing spot. Perhaps ESPN will let him call games on the SEC Network. He's not as talented as he thinks he is.

I agree whole heartedly. I actually used to like Brando, but somewhere along the way that stupid SOB started looking in the mirror and believing what the guy looking back at him telling him how great he was.

Brando really screwed up with the stupid sidekick stuff, the fake laughing and the cheesy sound effects coming out of his production booth.

I am glad CBS canned his arse. He hates everything SEC with the exception of LSU and the Grove at Ole Miss. His hate for all things Bama Is palpable. He can take his fake hair and diaf.

I'm really amused at the Brando bashing with people calling him smug and while praising Gary as the best. Gery is so full of himself and his opinions its comical. The dude is a smug, know it all, second guessing arse.

Difference is Danielson is prepared and usually knows what the hell he is talking about. Brando just has usual talking points he repeats ad nauseum even when they don't make sense or aren't relevant. I haven't even noticed that he is an supposed Alabama-hater at all. I just think he is annoying and the CBS game of the week show is bad and he is a big reason why. With the money CBS has, I think they can do much better Brando, Tilman, and even Archie.

Because Danielson is f'ing smart about football. He won't put you to sleep with his knowledge, either..which is what makes him good.
Gary Danielson is the best football color man on TV, period. He's the best prepared (talks to the coaches and players pregame and gets a ton of insight), best Xs and Os guy (former NFL QB with years of experience), and is far and away the best at watching AND explaining what's going on actually during the play at multiple places. A lot of folks can't figure out how he can call a play before it happens (he recognizes the formation of the offense, the down and distance, the counter formation of the defense, and has the football I.Q. to think like the QB/coach).
The guy's the best...plain and simple. I enjoy watching him(I seem to always learn something) even when I don't care who wins that particular game.
Plus, with all that, he still has to cover for Verne.

I actually think that's one of his better qualities. Orlando McCain is my all-time favorite.

You probably like Eli Gold too.

I keep waiting for him to bust out a Darrell Waltrip at Richmond NASCAR moment. But he was God aweful at that also

I rarely pay attention to what is being said by broadcasters and have never listened to Eli call a game. Sorry to spoil your melt.

Danielson knows his stuff. He seems to lean a little toward Bama some, but he leaned toward Florida when they were on their run, too.

Brando comes across as smug, arrogant, and as a wannabe elitist. He thinks that he's an influential person in the sports world. He may be to some extent, but not the extent he thinks.

His rug is horrible (and obvious), his laugh is obnoxious, his voice is fake, and his personal bias ("fly in the ointment") is usually about something that he's totally wrong on. Other than that he's fine.

Danielson, while people dislike him, actually knows his X's and 0's something incredible.

Really the only bias I ever detected from him over the years was his love for Tebow and UF during the Tebow era.

He may have loved Tebow but he does not love UF.
