Well no shite. Bielema brought in a completely different philosophy and scheme.

And when the stars were pretty well aligned for him last season he went 8-5 when he should have been 10-3.

Depth GENERALLY takes it's toll later in the season. That obviously has not been Arkansas' problem the last 2 seasons.

Last season we had less depth at the start of the season than mid late. We had 4-5 starters go down with broken something or another.

I think that if there is an excuse to be made this is it. Petrino believed in scoring points and lots of them and defense was of secondary importance. When they brought Bielema in you switched to an offense that emphasized running waaaaaay more which may reduce defense time on the field but it also means they have to get stops more than they might with a scoring machine like Petrino had. The combination of factors put them in a tight spot. I think that Bielema is more comfortable with the pass than he is given credit for but its still a very different system.

Maybe if I had any respect for your opinion on things I would be upset. However,

Fournette twists an ankle and the sky is falling. we lose #1 rb and #1 receiver (just to start) and its the stars aligning

Apparently losing your #1 RB and WR plus three guys to the NFL on defense coupled with bad depth on defense is considered the stars aligning

Petrino left Ark in much better shape than Nutt left Oxford. That a fact.

Is this the excuse for Freeze's cheating?

3 year starting senior QB who finally played extremely well and gave you your best chance for success. Not to mention some NFL players sprinkled throughout.

Instead, 8-5. Losses to Toledo and Texas Tech. Not sitting here saying you should have been 11 or 12 win team, but 10-3 was easily attainable and Bert blew it. Not something you generally see with Petrino.

Good luck this year though breaking in a brand new QB.

Every new coach has to deal with issues... beliema has had a 3 year starter at QB. That's extremely rare for coaches taking over.

These dummies have been told ad nauseum that most of the stars of those CBP teams were Arkansas kids already committed when he got here, and Tim Horton kept them on board and Mallet fell into his lap as did Broderick Green.

JWill missed an entire season from a foot injury and was still drafted ahead of Collins.

You seem pretty upset, I've given plenty of fact based arguments in here. If you're okay with losing to Toledo and Texas Tech, keep Bert there forever by all means.
