Couldn't field two 7 on 7 teams when he got here

Petrino had massive problems in recruiting and attrition

No worse than Ole Miss, UT, Vanderbilt. At some point the excuses gotta stop.

It's year 4 now. The excuses are over. Bert needs to do more than lose early then win a few late and go 8-5. Or, he can keep doing that and Arkansas can be satisfied with it.

I can't speak for Vanderbilt, but no, it actually is/was worse than almost all other schools.

Exactly.

Year 4 is when it's all your recruits so you can't blame anything on the prior coach.

Bielma will probably have to go 3-9 a second time in order to be fired.

It's true regardless of his record

Is he a good coach? Obviously. However one thing no one seems to mention is that he's only been a head coach at one place for four years max. Can he sustain a program long-term? We probably would have seen a drop off between 2011 and 2012 even if he had stayed. It'll be interesting to see how he does if he's at Louisville for more than four years.

Petrino left Ark in much better shape than Nutt left Oxford. That a fact.

Oh yeah, that too.

Seriously, it's been explained ad nauseum. Anyone who doesn't get it at this point is either willfully ignorant, or just stupid.

I think the point of the article is what you dumbasses keep saying in these replies. It's saying that we finally have the roster so it's time to do well.

Hard to do anything but improve on his initial 3 win season. You improved from 7-6 to 8-5 between year 2 and 3...

Good news is you have room to keep improving every year until 2021 i guess

You had the talent to beat LSU, Tennessee, and ole miss last year yet you embarrassed the conference losing to Toledo and Texas Tech.

Isn't this a rebuilding year? Losing Allen and other playmakers.

For the point of the article to penetrate these peoples' skulls, they'd have to actually try reading for once

Well when you get in bed with a girl who has a reputation for being loose. You cant get upset when you end up with a clap.

I guess we will see this season. I thought that Arkansas looked pretty deep and solid last year but lost a few games they just flat out shouldn't have.

Depth GENERALLY takes it's toll later in the season. That obviously has not been Arkansas' problem the last 2 seasons.
