Yeah, the OG Saban rule is you are no longer allowed to accidentally bump into recruits. This should have a different name

Like I have said, this rule is ineffectual. But it will pass next year.
I think you take my trolling too seriously if you think I have any emotional attachment to this.

We beat OM and ATM this year.
You lost to Oklahoma, Auburn, and last year to A&M. 100% of your losses over the past two seasons come from fast teams.
Saban = skeered

No offense, but OM has been outscored by Bama 58-14 over the past two seasons. Maybe the Bears should slow it down because whatever they are doing ain't working.

Solid time frame. What about 2011? LSU was not a fast paced team. 2010?

What does that have to do with this thread? What value have you added to the conversation? I love how Alabama fans always fall back on the we win so you don't know what you are talking about line of thinking.

Why would you change your title to gets beat by fast teams when your team is a fast team and failed to score on us, against possibly our most flawed d since 07? Anyway, I think there are some misconceptions here. The proposed rule was not to lower the total number of plays but to let defenses substitute exhausted players under the theory that exhausted defensive players lose form and technique and are more likely to injure themselves or an offensive player. The problem is no one currently tracks the kind of data you need to mine for that. In order to do a statistical study instead of just relying on your brain and a knowledge of football, you would have to track the snap count of every defensive player in football and correlate it to the injuries to both offense and defensive players. You would need to know at what consecutive snap the defensive player was at when they were hurt or caused an injury to another player. If there is validity to this idea then there should be a pattern of more injuries caused at higher consecutive snap counts for the defensive player, and the trend should be more pronounced against teams that deliberately try to prevent substitutions. Would be a huge data gathering project. Would need a database of every defensive player snap count and every injury to both offensive and defensive players

I'm not sure if they were at the time or not however I am sure that they all run fast offenses and Nicholas Saban sees that he's about to have his totem fall off the pole.
