Yes he is.

Anyone that doesn't believe it hasn't met a true hugger in real-life before.

They are dumb, they have a disturbing devotion to Nutt, and they are passionate.

I'm not impressed with the way Petrino runs his program. I'm not impressed that the best player in the state is favoring NUTT over PETRINO right now.

And we are not impressed your psuedo intellect.

Wilson might be a better fit for Petrino's system but Wilson had never taken a snap under center. Nutt never favored these kinds of QB's and now you know why. Youngblood is a good athlete. He can run he can throw. I haven't see him in practice but if Wilson is that much better, which I doubt he would be in Nutt's system, then eventually an athlete like Youngblood would have moved to another posistion. He already has under Petrino. So if it's ok for Petrino to move him, then it should be ok for the last coach to do it.

I'm not so sure that Nutt wanted to play Mallett at TE as I am he was told to work at that posistion at camp. And the rumor is Mallett asked to try that posistion at camp. While this was going on, it seems like this is about the time frame when Mustain was being tabed as the future qb of Arkansas. But, I still think Mallett is a strong arm guy slower than a statue and I believe he'll be a QB bust in the SEC.

The long and short of it is, I don't think either QB is very good and in the coming weeks you'll see why Nutt didn't recruit them, (or mallet at qb). You'll see Casey Dick is a better QB than both.

he wanted to use Ryan Mallet as a TE

the kid will probably have one of the highest national QB ratings after this season

I had heard this before and it was said Ryan himself wanted to play TE at Nutt's camp.....well...come to find out that was all bullshite put out by the media to smooth it over for Nutt...on Bo's show the other day a Mallet family member from Tex. Tx called in and said the reason Mallet didnt come to Ark. when Mitch was signed was not because of competition but because Nutt wanted him at TE.

I was waiting for Bo to step in like his hugger self and destroy that rumor but....

He said 'there is truth to that'...'Nutt himself told me "nah he is going to a Tightend'

I let out a euphoric "Thank God for Mississippi!"

The great QB killa nearly had Mallet on his wall.

Now I know you are a HDN tool..... No way Casey Dick is anywhere near the QB --- he could not complete a pass past 20 yards. You avoid the truth again and twist it to you own needs. What about Darius Winston WRT tool? It must have irked you that we landed him? We need him more than another 5'10 running back..... come on WRT your hero could not even land a 5* defensive player from his own backyard in Helena West Helena? What does that say about your heroes recruiting abilities? Pretty lame I bet.....

What has Petrino done to make you love him so much? If basically anyone is better than Hootie, what makes BP so special?

Billy Mays:
That's easy. It's called a conditioned human response (on a massive scale) resulting from an operant called negative reinforcement, i.e., removal of an aversive stimuli (that's Hootie) in order to facilitate a desired response, i.e., renewed belief that we can be better than our previously confined and restrained, Hootie-defined potential. It puts us in a state of renewed spirit, hope, and joy...kind of like one would feel after getting out of prison and getting rid of the ball and chain one carried around the whole time they were there.

So you're saying BP isn't all that great. That your love for him is just because he is different?

I can relate to the fact that you're confused. I was too when we had Hootie. No, I'm saying Hootie was a "ball-and-chain" for us.

Most of us believe BP is a better coach and having had the Hootie experience makes us appreciate BP even more.

Picture this: Being without Nutt makes me think of maybe being really constipated for several years and then making yourself take a great big, lovely dump... Wouldn't it make everything that's good in the world seem that much better? ...and if or when you peel an eye back at it...even as beautiful as it felt leaving, you see it from a new perspective, finding renewed happiness and delight as you step away from it...with a brand new outlook and stride.

Say what? I haven't even been online in like 4 days, and hadn't posted anything in this thread. I have no alter's here. I am who I am.

If you just suggested that I am WRT, well them's fightin words.

PS - My own personal opinion is that most Hog fans are ridicolous in their assesment of Nutt. He isn't a horrible coach, as I have shown over and over and over on various message boards. BUT it is also a fact that Petrino is far and away a better coach. It's not even close.

I don't care if Nutt WAS a good coach (he wasn't), he was an embarrassment and every hog fan around has the right to despise him.

I have no problem with you despising him. Hell, I hate plenty of people. Big deal. Enjoy your hatred, doesn't change the fact that the man isn't a horrible coach though.

Yeah, these kind of things always happen to good coaches that have had time to build their program:

2000
Georgia 38, Arkansas 7
Tennessee 63, Arkansas 20
UNLV 31, Arkansas 10

2002
Georgia 30, Arkansas 3
Minnesota 29, Arkansas 14

2003
LSU 55, Arkansas 24

2004
LSU 43, Arkansas 14

2005
USC 70, Arkansas 17

2006
USC 50, Arkansas 14

going for it 4th and 1 against USCe at your own 29 with a QB sneak with the first ever snap of a young Casey Dick is fricking stupid beyond stupid...the man is a horrible coach...

Even though they beat Florida last year thanks the gifts Florida provided...watch the last two minutes of the first half in that game where Nutt employs his sterling 2 min offense.....ITS THE WORST COACHING EXHIBITION IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL...

he's not a horrible coach. He's won or tied for the SEC west 3 times in 10 years and Arkansas is one of the hardest places to recruit to in the SEC. It's really not logical to say one play that does not work makes a coach horrible. Where is the logic in that?

Nutt is the best overacheiver in the SEC.

A hail mary tie-breaker, a forfeit of postseason and one outright SEC-W make him better than the Bear don't you guys know anything.

For what it's worth HDN wasn't a terrible coach, but he's surely not anything remotely close to WRT's assessment.

So for my part of what this thread should truly be at the moment I give you:

Forget for a moment what Nutt did at ARkansas. I think you saw the pinnacle of what this program will ever acheive under Danny Ford. Danny Ford maxed out the programs potential and he cheated while doing it. We'll never have anything better than what Ford accomplished again. Most coaches we'll hire wont be as good as him. Heck he cheated and was very mediocre.
