yea and Petrino is moving QB's to TE. Petrino is moving Lb's to DE and back to Lb, and back to DE again. Nutt moved one WR, to DE and he went on to be the #8 over all pick in the 2007 nfl draft. Arkansas is a program that will have to do stuff like that to compete b/c you aren't going out and consistantly getting 2 or 3 SEC caliber defensive ends per signing class.

I'm not impressed with the way Petrino runs his program. I'm not impressed that the best player in the state is favoring NUTT over PETRINO right now.

1) Petrino moved one QB that Nutt had offered to TE. He honored the scholly Nutt offered, or the kid would never have been playing QB at Arkansas. It's mind-boggling he offered him over Wilson.

2) Petrino has bounced Tank Wright between DE and LB. That's it. Tank is one of those hybrid guys with no true position. He'll probably play both this year...maybe standing up out of his stance and shifting back to LB or walking down on the line.

3) Nutt moved countless WR's to DE, DB's to LB, and DE's to DT, etc. I can remember Anthony Brown for one....yes, one of them worked when Jamaal Anderson blew up and was a great DE. But banking on recruiting a 6'2'' 205 lb WR and making an SEC lineman out of him is a horrible recruiting strategy, and one Nutt loved.

4) Dyer isn't favoring Nutt over anyone. From the horse's mouth it is AUBURN in the lead, with Ole Miss and Arkansas tied for third.

What you should be impressed with is that it won't kill our program if Dyer doesn't come to Arkansas. Why not? Because Petrino doesn't build his program around the once-ever-five-years-Arkansas-produces-MJ or DMAC program like Nutt did.

There is a precedent for QB's being moved to TE and starring and ending up in the NFL...See Jay Riemersma(Sp?) at Michigan.

a 4 star? well Dyer is a 5 star that favors ole miss over Arkansas. Mathews was recruited by both coaches and committed early in the process to ole miss. so, he didn't even have to think about his decision very long. I don't think "4 star" is as important to the fabric of the argument than the fact both coaches are recruiting and offering them and Nutt is winning most head to head battles or leading them.

It's really an argument I'm not going to proceed with much further b/c there is no logic in arguing the other side of it. It's a waste of my time. the #1 player in the state right now favors ole miss over Arkansas b/c one coach has a relationship with him and the other does not. That's pretty strong evidence Nutt himself is a superior recruiter to Petrino.

Your statements are not based in facts nor reality I assure you that Petrino has gotten every player out of Arkansas that he wanted.... It must have been a slap to you and Nuttys face when Darius Winston committed -- Ole Nutt thought he had him locked up but it kinda backfired on him did it not.

A bad official call last season and we win that game rest assured if Petrino gets a Nutt coach team down he will not call off the dogs.... Nutt has had 70 to 80 points hung on his teams a couple of times and I hope Petrino is the next coach to do it.....

Nutt offered Youngblood over Wilson b/c Wilson had never taken a snap under center. Wilson today a year and a half later still has trouble. He might take 15 in a row and get to the goal line and fumble so that's a huge problem to have. YOungblood fit Nutt's philosphy better but, Nutt was recruiting another drop back passer from Kansas I believe, named Cale Pick that he informed in october of 07 he was likely not going to be there in 08. Nutt may have moved Youngblood to another posistion. Really, there is nothing wrong so far with the strategy. Nutt has won 2 SEC wests and tied for a 3rd and Arkansas is the 9th hardest place to win in the SEC out of 12 teams. So, obviously, until someone wins more at Arkansas than Nutt did, or takes the program further than Nutt did, Nutt posistion moves prove to be the philosphy in the best interest of the program. Recruiting 220 lbs DE and making them 290 lbs interior linemen may be the only way to compete longterm at Arkansas.

I also think even if Dyer is stating Ole Miss and Arkansas are "tied" there is no excuse for that. Is this not a kid that had he come through here 7 years ago you would be saying "but he grew up wanting to a a hog, just like Mcfadden" Well if that's the case then the recruiting battle is being lost simply by the fact that you agree it's a tie right now. It souldn't be a tie unless the out of state coach is the superior recruiter. I think Dyer is saying it's TN, Auburn and Ole Miss all tied. I don't think he really mentions Arkanas much does he?

I've always viewed the relationship between Arky fans and HDN as alot like one between an abusive boyfriend and his ex. The ex always tried to make him happy, but nothing could ever seem to satisfy him. She would say how much she loves him and try to show it, and get only a black eye in return. So even though they say they're glad to be rid of the bitch, they hate seeing her with some other guy who they view as vastly inferior.

If it makes you any happier wildrebeltime -- Dyer will be a hawg when it counts --- All Petrino has to do is talk to the kid about being a Razorback and BOOM he is one.... no since in making something out that is not there.

Dude, the mother fricker cheated on us multiple times! Aside from the fact that this middle of the night pussy transferred like he's a Baltimore Colt... Aside from the fact his record sucked... Aside from the fact he has pretty good taste in slut broadcasters... Aside from the fact he guffaws at grown dykes... screw it.

He entertained offers/meetings/conversations with Nebraska, Miami, LSU etc. He's a POS. Abusive boyfriend. Good God.

Hawgalude if that's all he has to do he should have already done it. Petrino is letting other coaches move in on the good Arkansas talent b/c he doesn't have the personality to recruit it himself.

It's not logical to say all 4 are facts

Petrino is a better recruiter than Nutt
Dyer will be a hog when petrino decides to talk to him.
Dyer is a player both coaches want.
Dyer favors or has OM tied with AR.

If you're saying all Petrino has to do is talk and it's a lock, then he's already failed by the fact that MD has visited Ole Miss and let Nutt build a relationship before BP does.

You disappoint me.

AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

In other words, Youngblood was a better "hander offer."

...and instead of recruiting the kid with talent, and developing him, he recruits the kid that can hand off immediately.

Yet another nutshell from WRT showing why I say thank you to the good Lord every night that Nutt is gone.

Swine I think Nutt and/or staff is/was a good enough qb evaluator he never did want a QB who'd never taken a snap under center. Youngblood was in a prostyle system in highschool. Clint stoerner for instance rarely threw the ball in highschool.

QB's have to reinvent themselves if they want to go stick their hand under another mans crotch and take a snap and back pedal and watch the play unfold and make a 3 second decision while he's back peddling for the first time at the SEC level. That's a helluva alot of stuff going on in quick amount of time. Wilson is use to standing 5 yards back catching a snap and dart throwing to a 1 of a couple pre-determined areas. Wilson is still not very good at it and still not very good at picking up blitzes. I think the general consensus is he's behind the projected schedule in development of where they thought he would be at this point. And I think he'll be the same bust that Mustain was.

Was neither recruited nor developed by Houston Nutt. Which means his best QB he's ever recruited and developed was Casey Dick.

Nope, this cocksucker is for real.

Nobody would put this much time and effort into a running joke.

Tyler Wilson is twice the QB Youngblood is. Anybody who has watched practice in the spring, of fall camp, can easily see this. Its not even debatable. Hell, Youngblood is probably 4th behind first year QB Brandon Mitchell at this point.

Nutt wanted to play Ryan Mallett at TE and didn't even bother recruiting Tyler Wilson.

You're so wrong its not even worth debating.
