Agreed. I think that's why Cam is not rated as highly as expected.

JFF didn't have a high level of competition for the Heisman so doesn't matter

Don't want to get into the middle of this, because I count Manziel as a top talent. (Not sure exactly where i would rate him, but....)

Aaron Murray holds tons of SEC records, but I would not put him in the same class as the guys in the poll.

JFF is top 5 if you only count Qb's but since it is greatest all time, he falls about 15th

JFF holds 1 record. Most total yards in a season. That's it Period nothing else. And YACs add to passing yards , which has so much more to do with the receiver.

Tebow holds carreer touchdown record.

Cam doesn't hold any , but at least he won a division title, conf championship , and national title , plus heisman , like Tebow and John.... Oh wait never mind one doesn't belong!

Bo, Herschel, Cam, Tebow

Probably my list. Fournette breaks 2,000 and wins the Heisman, he gets up there over someone.

Cam in 2010 is the best college football player I've ever seen.

Not just SEC.

It was so fricking ridiculous.

I am sorry, isn't part of being a "beacon of morality" influencing others?

Tim Tebow probably turned the other cheek more often then not.

You've lived a sad fricking life.

I'd be willing to bet a person could make a case for nearly 100 SEC players historically that were better than JFF

When you use the phrase "greatest of all times", then, by definition, you have to consider all the great players who played in the SEC. One criteria I look at is how successful did a player make his team? In JFF's best season, his team lost 3 games. Bu going back to all time greats: the Black Bears have Archie, who has to be on any top whatever list. Before Archie, they had an All American RB named Charlie Flowers who could run with the best on this list. Besides the obvious 2, Snake & Namath, bama has at least 5+ defensive players who were so good they have to be considered on any list of top players. Ever hear of a player named Johnny Majors at UT? Spurrier at Fla. had at least 2 QB's who were just as good athletically as JFF & both were big time winners. State had a QB named John Bond who ran circles around the league's defenses, for 4 ys. LSU has Cannon, who btw, played both ways for close to 4 quarters a game, Jerry Stovall, one of LSU greatest all around athletes, offense & defense & was first team All American his last 2 yrs. Cassanova was the best all around athlete, again, he too played both ways though not all the time and was a 3 time....3 ....All American. All the players listed here, on each team, were proven winners as well as great players.
