There's also a difference between rape and being accused of rape

No there's a difference between cheating to give you an advantage in your respective sport as opposed to doing something illegal outside of the sport

Yeah in the grand scheme of things one is way worse than the other.

I wasn't saying it was right; I was just giving an explanation

Yeah you are right, sorry I forgot that he was only ACCUSED of rape twice in one year. Not to mention these were act against young women that ruins their lives. I can't believe I tried to compare a monster like Cam who was pimped out by his dad to a great man such as Big Ben.

If I was an Auburn fan, I would give two shits about the perception of the national media. Dwell in the fact that the crystal ball resides on the plains.

This sums it up

I don't agree with it. I have less respect for Leonard Little than I do for Barry Bonds.

I have not followed the Ben story but Vick was killed by the media. Fans protesting at stadiums etc.

Cam will be loved by the media/pro fans if he does well in NFL. But aub's run this year will always be considered "dirty" no matter what they do in the future.

I don't think that is very accurate. Based on how hard Auburn fans have been defending the championship I would say that a lot of people care. Nobody wants to win something and then have the whole world say you cheated.

Ohhh I didn't know Ben stepped up and confessed. Also I am still waiting Hines Ward and James Harrison to own up.

Waiting for Hines Ward and James Harrison to own up to what? Being agressive, relentless football players? Is it their fault the NFL has turned into a pansy league where if you so much as cause anybody's helmet to move, it's an unnecessary roughness penalty?

Ward and Harrison are two soon-to-be Hall-of-Famers on the league's best franchise. They have nothing to "own up" to, other than being fantastic football players. Give me a break.

known "dirty" players and a QB that has had 2 rape\sexual assault cases on their team

Cam Newton - thief, liar, cheat

Eric Smith - assault on a student (cheap shots on an outnumbered student)

Nick Fairley - recognized nationally as one of the dirtiest in the game - even though he was only relevant 1 season

Pugh - chop block artist. Recognized as a very dirty player.

etc...

Harrison has made some dirty hits but the league made him a target. They've gone overboard punishing him.

Link to any existing charge against Roethlisberger?

Already been convicted in the court of public opinion.

The police report looked pretty bad. If he had only had one event, then I might think that the girl is lying to setup a lawsuit. I think Kobe Bryant is a turd but I have more faith in his word than Big Ben's because it only happened once and I know that gold diggers looking for a lawsuit are out there. When the guy gets busted a couple times, then you start to suspect he's the issue.
