The nations perception of Auburn is due to the SEC's reputation. The rest of the nation views the SEC, and most southerners, as cheaters who will do anything to win. I can't tell you how many times I've heard idiot Big-10 fans say, "you know they cheat they have to they are in the SEC, its like its required or something." I have heard people say that.

Like it or not Alabama, LSU, AU, UGA, UF, USC, and so on are viewed as cheaters because we have to be. That explains why we beat the crap out of the other teams in the major bowl games. It can't be that the teams are just that good at getting top talent that is in their backyards and the other major programs have to go all over to get it.

Like it or not no matter who sits atop the SEC for the year the rest of the country, or at least Big-10 country, will say they are cheating to win.

It's pretty simply really. Auburn cheating places fans of other CFB teams in a victim role that then personally identify with. Ben et al's discretions are viewed as a 3rd party.

Here's a great article by ESPN's Gene Wojohowski on Auburn's season.

LINK

Dont blame the national media. Auburn brought alot of this on themselves when they chose to sell their souls for a winning season. I like Jay Jacobs latest swallow of pride. He know's the quickest way to make the story end is to say the game was over so it's okay that Cecil was there. Has Auburn ever done anything great controversy free. '57 went on probation, '93 undefeated/probation, '04 undefeated/jet gate hangover, '10 National Championship/Pay for play. AU's reputation has been made by their actions. Dont blame the national media.

From Billy Cannon to Ryan Per., LSU has made it's own reputation.

is that auburn is full of queers, rednecks, and rich alumni who have paid for their football team since 1950

Ryan was kicked off the team for his misgivings.....
Billy got in trouble after college as i remember. So, unless i am missing something, how does that equate to Probations in multiple years for typically the same thing 3 separate times and the FBI rooting up people's asses over in South Alabama?

..and they throw toilet paper in a tree to celebrate!

The bottom line..Please dont group or try to compare real programs to what goes on down on the plains..it is insulting to us.

One chop block, 4 years ago.

I was going to give that retiree, Pendry, some props for being a good OL coach. But seeing how bammer got called for about 4 or 5 chop blocks this year, he is a dirty POS.

Thanks.

I never pay attention to anything you say. You are a pathetic individual in that everything about you is about your unyielding obsession with Cam, ATPB and Auburn.

"Ryan Per., LSU has made it's own reputation."

For the record LSU lost two years of football because they did the right thing and kicked RP off the team. others get to win national championships because winning is more imortant than integrity

Good for you!

Personally, I feel exactly the same way about my team and my coach. Folks have bashed Nick Saban on here for years - I don't give s shite. So, he's a dickhead - he's our dickhead.;-)
