LSU got Bama AT frickING HOME after that slugfest with BYE.

Maybe tiger stadium is not nearly as awesome as LSU claims.

Oh, did I just ruin a fapfest? Sorry bout that.

That was our first loss in how long at home? And you've been getting rolled in Kyle Field for years on the reg so if we want to talk about home fields...

Only if I want to consider we played 9 straight weeks without a single buy and that the bama game was our 3rd straight road game

We dont prance around saying getting a win in Kyle Field (besides Saban) is about as likely as JFF giving up drinking though....

We lose in Kyle Field. Hell we played better on the road last season.

So your point is pretty negligable as no Aggie fan I know of claims that Kyle Field is the hardest stadium in the entire world to play in.

So? You are saying that one game had an effect because you wore them out. that's bullshite because we didn't have a bye all year and got bama at the end of a road trip

No, they should be thanking their big brother, La Tech.

I remember that time Tech had more than two scores on LSU, it was a TD and 3 FGs. Tech has never scored more than one TD on LSU in 16 games - the average score being 34.4 to 3.6.

I guess they're a tough matchup - for the Aggies...

Pretty sure LSU and Florida both beat TAM at home. So not only were you only third best in the West, you were probably about the same in the East.

LSU's excuse for losing to Bama at home when A&M beat them on the road is that LSU caused Bama to be tired.

We hove to throw out all the other "factors" and focus ONLY on that one factor. Forget home field advantage. Forget LSU's bye week. No. The ONLY difference was that LSU made Bama tired. That's why A&M beat Bama and LSU couldn't. That's what we keep hearing.

Nobody here claims their stadium is insurmountable as much as LSU does. But Bama walks in there and gets the W. So, A&M MUST have had help winning in T-town. Must have. It had to be the awesomnessednessitudedness of LSU.

Virtually the entire college football world says Death Valley is one of if not the toughest stadium in the country

To the OP: they were the only team in the country who got the deed done against bama. That's kind of a big deal. And JFF is fricking awesome (in a douchebag kind of way)

Alabama's defense was below the Saban standard, and team didn't play at an elite level against their toughest competition. Sure, some key players were banged up, but beating Alabama last year isn't as huge as some would think. The defense wasn't impressive against LSU, Texas A&M, and Georgia. The offense was off and on along with AJ.

JFF may be awesome off the field, but he wasn't awesome against Florida and LSU and wasn't as noisy against Alabama after the 1st quarter. He better hope he doesn't face defenses better than last year, or he will come back down to Earth. I agree with the OP.

So, you're saying that running up and down the field and being completely depleted of minerals by way of sweat and utter exhaustion has LESS of an affect on performance the next week than getting knocked around?

We wouldn't know as LSU generally just stops Tech at the line of scrimmage - or behind it.

I guess the WRs might get a little winded, but we just rotate them in and out and end up with 3rd string ATHs on the field in the 4th qtr.

Nobody has ever said insurmountable

All we have ever said is that as far as home field advantages go ours is the best or very close too it. Very few neutrals would argue that.

Right. Because one game against LSU develops more fatigue and wear/tear than 9 straight games and 2 straight road games
