Love how A&M fans are pulling the "we beat Bama" card. Am I the only one who watched that entire game?

TAMU barely escaped with that one. The first quarter was when they shined and took a big lead over an overconfident, and tired, Bama team that had gotten into a slugfest with LSU the weekend before.

After that first quarter, Bama took control and, like LSU and Florida before them, took it to TAMU. JF was able to do juswt enough at the end of the game against a tired Bama team to pull off a victory, but let's not act like TAMU destroyed the Tide. THey eeked one out.

If Bama doesn't play LSU the week before, Bama probably wins this one easily.

I say it over and over, and they still don't get it.

Ranttards cannot, simply CANNOT, take a line of reasoning and apply it to a different situation. They make the STUPIDEST comments without thinking about how such "logic" could be applied to them. And when we do, they still don't get it.

They won their bowl game going away against a name opponent plus as you said they beat bama and had a Heisman winner. Any team that has that happen is going to get a lot of preseason run. We'll see how they respond this year, I agree in that they are set up to have a bit of a sophomore slump but their schedule is so easy it would be hard from them to not win 9 games. We won't have to wait long to find out.

You're talking about logic in an obvious troll thread. That pretty much says it all.

A&M is getting a lot of talk for 3 reasons:

1. Aggie fans tend to be very loud.

2. Alabama fans get an inferiority complex whenever someone beats them. When Alabama loses, their fans spend so much time talking about how irrelevant the loss was and how irrelevant the team that beatthem is that it gives credibility to that team.

3. The media is single minded. All they see is the Alabama win and the Heisman. The rest of the season might as well never have happened.

We don't use that excuse for ourselves. I do see Bamas argument though. Its not just getting "knocked around". LSU and Bama both play smashmouth ball and they have one hell of a battle in the trenches.

And we played 9 straight weeks going into the game. But yea you're right. Only bama could be worn out. Not us

You're right. It's the Rant. Logic doesn't apply here.

A&M outscored Bama in the 4th Quarter and that is with missing a FG and an XP. There were multiple occasions that game could have been a much larger win for A&M as well. Bama never led the entire game and was up by 12 with 8 minutes to go.

Was it a good, close game? Sure, but it wasn't like A&M pulled a rabbit out of their hat to win.

I get what your saying. I'm not even saying its the reason that they lost. I'm just saying that I could see their players being bruised up after that game. If you've watched that game the past couple of years then you know how brutal the series has been.

ETA: Basically just laughing at using LA Tech as a comparison

9 straight weeks

But we didnt play LSU... You can only be tired after you play LSU... didnt you know that... 9 weeks in a row without a bye playing the national champions... thats not tough... because you didnt play LSU the week before. The sad thing is that LSU fans use the "thats why Bama lost" excuse more than I have seen Bama fans use it. It is sad really.

Its pointless to argue with these tards. If an LSU fan has a chance to interject their team into an A&M/Bama discussion you better believe they will. They dont like being left out.

In all fairness, finishing 5th in the SEC is a pretty big deal for a program known only for being UT's little brother and the butt of gay jokes.

But you are saying it had an effect on the game. And we are saying it had the same effect as playing 9 straight weeks

I don't argue that La Tech should not have been a tough game for A&M but the fact was it was a 5 hour game that finished at 1AM on the road and was an emotional roller coaster that came after a similar roller coaster road win with Ole Miss.

It's no excuse, A&M needed to show up to play against LSU and LSU came in better prepared and took care of business. Props. It's just as stupid though to say Bama gets a pass for losing to A&M though because they had a tough game with LSU the week before. You have to show up to play every week, period.

Really? You think the Aggies don't get enough grief over that game with Tech, maybe we should pile on?

It's an overblown talking point but at the same time it was a very physical game as it always is and it can't be discounted entirely as a factor in both of our games the following week as it has been most of the time the last 6 years. I know you haven't been around to know how physical and personal that game gets between those two team (not even talking about the fans at all right now) but it's just the way it has been.
