What miracle did we get against Auburn?

We scored late against Ole Miss, but what's so miraculous about that? Their defense sucked.

Jesus cat-choking Christ!!!!

I can't.....

The inability to take one line of reasoning and apply it to another situation....it is uncanny.

I also love how people continue to bring up A&M getting Bama after LSU as the main reason we won. Yet at the same time you never see Aggies mention how LSU got A&M after playing that 59-57 5 hour slugfest that was on ESPNU last night or that A&M played Bama at the end of a 5 out of 6 road game stretch and did not have a bye all season. You have to play every week regardless of the schedule.

So you are saying A&M was in a slugfest with LA Tech?

Meh...you've had those resources and school size for years.

This just isn't true. A&M let their facilities fall way behind in the late '90s right at the time Texas and OU invested big in theirs. By the time A&M was starting to catch up we hired Fran and it set us back another decade. The school has only been large since the mid '80s and hasn't gotten really large until recent years. The key is now those grads from the '80s and '90s are starting to hit donor age and the money is flowing like a river.

The size of the school, the State and the resources behind both have never been anything close to what they are now. Hell, A&M is about to pass Michigan for the 2nd largest Public School Endowment and jumped to the 6th largest AD revenue in a year where we got essentially 0 TV dollars because of the Big 12 buyout. This isn't anything like the past from a resource perspective for A&M.

A&M certainly did dominate the SWC in the Post SMU death penalty era but that only accounted for 3 SWC Titles out of over 20. The real issue there is a lot of LSU folks think that college football started in 2000. Recent history is the most important history but that doesn't erase everything else.

If Aggie doesn't win 10 games this year, the season will have been an absolute disaster.

When was the last time aTm had to play with those expectations?

No, we're saying LSU was in a slugfest with BYE. That's why Bama narrowly escaped BR with a win.

Twist it however you want but using an argument that "insert team" lost because they played "insert team" the week before sounds asinine at best.

A tough, physical game would have a much more dramatic effect than two teams just running back and forth up the field.

So, you're saying that running up and down the field and being completely depleted of minerals by way of sweat and utter exhaustion has LESS of an affect on performance the next week than getting knocked around?

I think sitting on your arse has more of an affect than having a physical game. BYE is the reason LSU lost to Bama.

At seasons end:

#5 Texas A&M 11-2
#14 LSU 10-3

Only reason you are ranked that high is from beating us. Your welcome.

They were as good as any team in college football at the end of the season.

No, they should be thanking their big brother, La Tech.

Love how A&M fans are pulling the "we beat Bama" card. Am I the only one who watched that entire game?

TAMU barely escaped with that one. The first quarter was when they shined and took a big lead over an overconfident, and tired, Bama team that had gotten into a slugfest with LSU the weekend before.

After that first quarter, Bama took control and, like LSU and Florida before them, took it to TAMU. JF was able to do juswt enough at the end of the game against a tired Bama team to pull off a victory, but let's not act like TAMU destroyed the Tide. THey eeked one out.

If Bama doesn't play LSU the week before, Bama probably wins this one easily.
