i am kind of surprised butch wasn't fired.
i find butch to be a lovable meathead. i think the best moment of htis season is after tenn beat uga on the hail mary and butch runs out on the field and just sponteneously drops to his knees and starts crying.

Let's go back to your original point that unnamed sources are a sign of bad journalism. Would you be willing to put your name to a quote that said your boss is in over his head or any of the bad things the unnamed sources said? Granted, not everyone in the AD works for Butch, but anyone within the AD would be in big trouble if they were outed as the source of those quotes.
So, to reiterate, no shite the sources weren't named. They would like to keep their jobs. The idiot they're talking about is still their boss or at least has rank on them.

That is a very good point, but would you put full faith in it? Seeing articles like this doesn't make me feel good about the program or Jones, but there is nothing here I can run with.

I'm certainly not saying to take it as gospel. Although, it's nothing that most of us don't expect is true. Nothing stated by "unnamed sources" is a surprise or really different than expected. I don't know whether the quotes are legitimate or not either though. It just does not seem like something to toss aside as BS.

A lot of what is written is very similar to stories that have been floating around per backchannels. Butchs personality and the culture around the program seem to be portrayed correctly in the article
