Exactly. My point is that the mantra repeated by so many Vol fans "but we had so many injuries"...as if it was just bad luck...according to this article isn't really the case. Lousy S&C program, along with players like Kongbo refusing to play. All of it is Jones's responsibility.

I'm not defending Butch by any means but I question how accurate that part is. Kongbo played a shite load of DT the last few games of the season iirc. The pick six he had against Missouri was at defensive tackle

And Hurd got lots of snaps at RB, but then refused to play, right? It could have been at a specific time.

I don't know how accurate the Freshman bit is. The only Freshman I can think of who saw a lot of playing time this season was Tyler Byrd and Baylen Buchanan. Byrd may be our best reciever truth be told, so I doubt it's him struggling with concepts. Buchanan didn't have any scheme issues, just wasn't good enough yet to cement his spot.
Warrior played a lot, but him being lazy and disinterested would be the first I've heard of this. He's supposedly struggled with grasping Shoops defense, but it's a very complicated defense and a lot of our players struggled to fully understand their roles in it.
Of course he could just be talking about Drew Richmond, which would fit the description given in the article despite his progression towards the end of the year.

Derek Mason is 1-2 vs Butch Jones let's not pretend like he owns VOLS. They were beaten to a pulp last year in Neyland, don't exaggerate it like they have been dominant.
