That recruit's sister just happened to get a job at UT, from what I've told by well placed sources.

Should be some interesting NCAA investigative questions coming soon.

His sister graduated from Tennessee, and was a manager under Pat Summit for 3 years, she's very qualified regardless of the intentions behind her hiring.

Honest question, is the CF that the Vols S&C program became at least partially responsible for the excessive number of Vol injuries?

The way Tennessee is trending, they're one QB and a playmaker or two away from winning the SEC.

The SEC? As in the Southeastern Conference? That SEC? One QB and a playmaker aren't going to close the gap for them to win the entire conference. They may win the East and the right to get curb stomped by the West, but they are a ways off from winning the SEC.

This great recruiter title he's given is a myth. He happened to luck into a dozen highly rated legacy recruits and some of the most talented classes in state history that he could sell instant playing time to.

I agree with this, but perception is reality. He took in way more commits than were allowed by the SEC and got them onto campus via loopholes. That gave him "higher" rated classes, but many of those kids had to transfer when he kept grabbing more and more kids every year. Eventually, he did start to pull in some better kids based on the "faux momentum" of previous classes.

"Multiple people close to the program thought it went back to promises made during the recruiting process, an enablement of players who were already entitled due to high school hype. There was no de-recruitment, in other words."

I'm guessing he's talking about Hurd, among others.

2014 class: 4 top 100 recruits, 11 top 250 players. Locked down the state. Finished #7.

2015 class: 6 top 50 recruits, 13 top 250 recruits, 16 top 300 recruits. Landed every instate target outside of McGraw and Jefferson. Easily the best class Butch ever signed. Finished #4 on 247.

2016 class: 4 top 100 recruits, 8 top 250 recruits, 10 top 300 recruits. Didn't do much in Tennessee but this was a weak instate class so I'll give him a pass. Finished #14 on 247.

2017 class: 3 top 100 recruits, 4 top 250 recruits, 6 top 300 recruits. Possibly the strongest high school class in Tennessee history and Lyle has been getting pantsed by Dabo at every turn. He was absolutely cucked by a 6 foot 5 inch monster 5* WR that lives 10 minutes from Knoxville and grew up a VOLS fan. Currently #11 on 247 but that's inflated due to having 24 commitments with NINETEEN of them being 3*. This entire class is basically Trey Smith, Maliek Gray, Ty Chandler and a massive bowl of slaw.

If you cannot see how recruiting is trending down, I don't know what to tell you brah

Butch cares more about the fluff and gimmicks of marketing a program than he does actually developing players. His desire to be liked by the fans drives everything he does. Jones was exposed this year as the clown that he is.

If even the majority of this stuff is true, it just isn't fixable. Forty-something year old men don't change their personalities. The Vols are doomed to mediocrity for another couple of years, at least.

Forget about 12 losses in a row to Bama. When it gets to 5 losses in 7 years to Vanderbilt, the heads of Vol fans everywhere will explode. Never has it been able to be said that Vanderbilt owns Tennessee in football. That's where the program is headed.

Yes. But the fall off in S&C is Jones's responsibility because of the "Inmates running the asylum" culture that he's created.

He's in over his head, and he has until end of 2017 to have a career epiphany or he's gone.

Pretty telling that Scrooster would post this article without posting the end. The crazy old frick is Volsessed

Sure, they just got the #1 recruit.

But seriously, who gives a shite?

When you have a continual revolving door on office of your S&C coach,
When you have bickering among assistants,
When you have entitled upperclassmen who refuse to play,
When you have freshmen who have no work ethic,
and when you can't de-commit that #1 recruit you just got,

Your team isn't going to be worth a shite in this conference, and you're gonna get fired.
