I don't get the "gifted physically" comments about this kid. He has a decent arm and can run a little. He doesn't remotely resemble Drew Brees or Michael Vick in either phase. Some of his throws in that video were Jordan Jefferson bad. The good news is Bama is loaded at RB and has some WRs that could bail him out some. The biggest problem Bama may have is he went from getting elite QB coaching to whatever the opposite of that is.

And nearly all of those guys are in the NFL now. Most mock drafts have Cooper as the first receiver taken in the 2015 draft.

I was unimpressed with Coker's highlights too but he just needs to be serviceable to win us 10 or more games.

I'm not worried because I don't think Saban expects the kid to come in and carry the team. I believe Bama will play it close to the vest with the running game and playaction passes until Coker gets comfortable assuming that he wins the starting job. If Coker doesn't develop into a real threat, Bama can just stick with the run and play tough defense. They've won a lot of games that way.

We actually win a lot of games when we stick to running the damn ball. See 2012 SECCG vs UGA. 1st half and 2nd half were night and day.
