I don't really know what you are talking about, seeing as I wasn't here this last season for that.
Thanks for the info?

You're about to get some incoherent response. FYI

I was smooth scrolling down the page and had to put on the brakes and go back up and try to make sense of that nonsense.
Wasting my time while I'm on here tryna waste time

Just did it myself on the way down to your post. My head hurts

Here's a new interview that just came out with Kyle Allen. Pretty good little read. Seems very mature with his answers. I like it.

Kyle Allen will walk with his Scottsdale Desert Mountain High classmates in graduation ceremonies Thursday night. But the quarterback already has a semester in the books and a grasp of Texas A&M's playbook after finishing his high school requirements in December.
After a strong spring showing running mostly with the first team, Allen, rated the No.1 quarterback prospect in the 2014 football class by recruiting services, could be the front-runner to replace Johnny Manziel, who left early for the NFL and was chosen by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the recent draft.
I caught up with Allen at a park in Scottsdale, where he was working out, along with other quarterbacks, with QB coaching gurus Dennis Gile and Mike Giovando. He calls Gile a key to his constant development at quarterback, and makes sure he gets with him whenever he can "to get things right."
Here is a quick Q&A with Allen:
Are you the heir apparent to Johnny Manziel?
KA: Not yet. It's between me and Kenny (Hill) still. We're going to battle it out.
What were you able to accomplish by finishing high school early and getting your feet wet at A&M?
KA: A lot. Graduating early definitely was the biggest part. And working with Dennis (Gile) before then and getting myself ready, that helped me out tremendously. If I would have come in now, I don't think I'd have any chance to start. By going through spring ball, I was able to show not only the coaches but the players, too, what I can do. It's huge.
Your experience playing in the US Army Bowl and performing as well as you did in January, how did that help you for this next step?
KA: I think that just solidified things for my high school career. Hopefully, for the fans (at Texas A&M), it helped solidify in their minds what I'm capable of doing.
How do you handle the pressure of possibly being the guy who replaces Manziel?
KA: It's not really the guy who replaces Manziel. At least team-wise, I don't look at it that way. It doesn't matter who was there before you. He really put a national spotlight on us that helped us a lot. It's not really that I'm replacing him. He created a great situation for the rest of the team to be in the national spotlight."
Will they tweak the offense for you to take advantage of your strengths?
KA: It's basically the same. People don't realize that they didn't run zone read. There were two or three designed runs for Johnny. Most of his runs were on scrambles. I play within the system. That's how he played it. It's Mike Leach's system. He started it way back in the day, 25 years ago. It's been tweaked by coaches. You can put in a good quarterback and tweak it to his strengths and really thrive in it.
How will you flourish in that system?
KA: You can do whatever you want. You can throw it short. Depending on who you are playing, there is so much you can do with it.

I like Allen. For him to choose Texas aTm over Bama says a lot. He could have gone to Bama and had a chance to start right away. You like it when a guy chooses your school over a situation like that. I hope he does well.

Agree, shows some balls. But really, when you look at this kid on tape and compare the offenses of Bama and A&M, It's easy to see why a Slinger would pick A&M right now.
Just looks like more fun, imo. Just think what Bama will do if they ever do get a good QB. I mean a playmaker. That could be harsh.

I think he knows that no matter how great his arm is they wouldn't be slinging it all over at Bama anyways. Coaches like saban and miles aren't scared to throw the football but they also live for time of possession. They want to control the football with a balanced offense, grind the clock, and break your will. Offenses like A&M will always be more attractive to the big time QBs.

Yeah, I think you're right, but the Bama system is also the perfect fit for a PS QB. Plus they're more likely to compete for a NC. We haven't seen Sumlin have a QB that doesn't run the ball, but I'm sure they will adjust for Allen. To me it's still a tough decision and a big win for aTm.

Well, Sumlin had Case Keenum at Houston. At OU, he had Sam Bradford. Neither of those guys are runners. Sumlin actually adjusted his Air Raid for Johnny (or, rather, just let Johnny be Johnny).

Completely forgot about Bradford. Damn, that's impressive on its own.

OU hired Sumlin because he was the OC for A&M when Reggie McNeal torched their arse. They knew he was aggresive and got the most out of his QBs
A&M should have just hired/promoted him when they let RC go.
Could have avoided all the Fran unpleasantness altogether

Then Sumlim would have never gotten the chance to repeatedly not win conference USA.

I think this is my favorite thing about Sumlin, hes never actually won anything

Number of conference titles Les Miles won before going to the SEC: 0
Number of conference titles Nick Saban won before going to the SEC: 1 (MAC with Toledo, none at Michigan State)

How could he ever hope to compete with the mighty Pinkel and his one glorious Mid-American Conference title?
