I get that but to say you are not concerned with the QB situation is beyond me. Your choices are a true freshman or a red shirt freshman...neither have played and this is the SEC.
Sure they haven't played in the SEC, but these guys have been running a spread offense since Junior High School. Our whole O philosophy is to utilize an offense similar to what many high schools run in order to cut down on transition time.
That is different than taking a Texas QB and forcing him to game manage some boring grind-it-out pro-style SEC offense. THAT is a transition.

I figured an Auburn fan could see the difference.

If Allen beats 1 Ranked SEC opponent this season he we'll have beaten as many as JFF did in 2 seasons.

I expect 8-4 or so, with a legit West contender in 2015.

Kenny Hill is a true soph, not a RS freshman. He did get into some games last year, including one SEC game against Vandy. He went 5 for 5.
I get that Allen is a true fish, and they, as a rule, are quite raw. But Allen is exceptional BECAUSE he is so advanced.

Which 2013 Elite 11 QBs are the most college-ready? Coaches weigh in
quote:
I asked the following question to various coaches at the Elite 11 quarterback competition: "how would [quarterback] do if asked to start as a true freshman?"
The coaches answered, but preferred anonymity. And even then, most would not harshly criticize a player. Keep in mind that the coaches factored in the school to which the player is committed. Included are the thoughts of the coaches, and a bio from the Elite 11 roster.
A chance to succeed
Two names stood out above the rest: Kyle Allen and Deshaun Watson, with David Blough and Jerrod Heard also mentioned frequently.
Kyle Allen, Texas A&M commit: The 6'3, 190-pounder is a consensus four-star quarterback. Allen passed for 3,119 yards and 36 TDs as a junior with only seven interceptions. He had over 20 college offers, including Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCLA, before committing to the Texas A&M Aggies.
Several coaches continued to be in awe of how advanced Allen was as a passer -- a sentiment that was present during his regional performance. Allen even ran his team's offense during one practice. Allen makes very few mistakes typical of a high schooler.
With Johnny Manziel potentially leaving for the NFL after the 2013 season, the feeling at the camp was that Allen could step in and hold his own, even in the tough SEC West division.

Edit: Oh ya LT
Don't worry, you will be seeing plenty of next years top LT draft prospect in action this next season for the Aggies.

The expectations are realistic. We aren't expecting the young QB to win the Heisman. I don't get why A&M should be concerned. Young players make mistakes. It is just standard QB development. They are just going to put on his plate whatever they think he can handle. But unless there is some glaring deficiency in the ability to run the offense, no concerns have cropped up yet.
Just because Florida fans have great concerns after watching Driskell regress, doesn't mean every fan base should be concerned.

This mafukin post right here. If you have any questions about our future QB, just read this shite.
I am in he camp that believes Hill will get the nod to start off the season. He was solid every time he stepped on the field last year, and will get the same opportunity this year to show that he can be as consittent.
I really hope SC underestimates our QB play going into the game. For some reason, I know that Spurrier is on his game and they likely won't.

I dont mean to burst your bubble here, but just because the guy was good in high school doesnt mean shite about college.

I would agree except for the fact he is going to a coach that turns 2 and 3 stars into Offensive Player of the Years and Hesiman Trophy winners.
I would be alot more skeptical if he was going to a school like Mizzou

You're right, because Mizzou has such terrible QBs historically

Ill take Sumlin over Pinkel 10 times out of 10. the ONLY SEC coach i would rather play for as a QB might be Richt. Pinkel wouldnt even be in the conversation.

I'd take that review with a grain of salt. The other "college-ready" guy in that article got hurt in his first taste of live college action... and that was against his own team...

That's cool, I'll take the coach that has been to the SECCG.

And you would be a fool in this context for so doing.
Per par for you, it seems.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying this we lost everyone BS. We only lost 3 draft picks. 2 last minute offers, who sumlin turned into gold. Manziel wasn't even drafted as high as th guy he replaced. Jake matthews is being replaced by a guy wo got a fringe first round grade this year as a right tackle lol....
We also lose our nickleback, our #3 receiver, a wr turned lb....
Will we even field a team? Can we have a vacation year in the big 12?
