Chief is already back to killing it on the recruiting trail too

"Guyz! It's gonna be okay! When our Wrecking Crew Defense comes back, we won't lose all of our top defensive recruits to LSU, Alabama and The University of Texas anymore!!"

Because the talent he had was clearly the same. How many first/second round DBs did he have like he does now?

All things are relative. Clemson talent advantage over WVU is MUCH LARGER than LSU's over A&M.

Texas is like 4-25 head to head recruiting with us, and while it sucks for a blue chipper or two to head east, it's not really a huge affect on us.

What day melt is this?

In all seriousness, Chief was a good overall DC in his time here at LSU. But the average LSU fan will tell you that he had a real problem winning the big games late. And no- it could NOT always be blamed on the offense. His "bend but don't break" philosophy burned us numerous times in games that had national implications. That's the truth.

Melt? The only melting I've seen this week was when Aggy got the news from Hammbone that they were losing yet another top DB to LSU. Par for the course.

We stopped melting, hardened and then started pulling in 5 star defenders like it's going out of style....I, for one, am appreciative of yalls efforts to try to be like us......it's not gonna work.

WVU was one of the best offenses in the country in 2011, try again.

How many of those guys were top recruits, or have done anything in the nfl? None of them? Hmmm was it great coaching from sumlins tree, or terrible coaching from Steele?

Nope, just think he was one of the two mainly pole responsible... You know, him and Nick Saban.

You're right. We didn't even field a defense before or after Saban or before Chavis.

It's a known fact that Steele has had multiple ANXIETY INDUCED MENTAL BREAKDOWNS DURING GAMES.

Good luck

I'm still trying to figure out the Aggies correlation between wvu/Clemson and what is happening now? Do they really think Steeles metric is that one game?

Steeles defense got worse every year was at Clemson, wasn't just one game.

Do you care to see what that offense did to an NFL littered LSU defense that year?

533 yards
463yds passing
28 first downs

Their biggest problem was TOP and turnovers.

It's a known fact that Chavis shits his pants if the other team has a running back. Can't wait for the cameras to be locked on him as LSUs freshman RB is having another career high against Aggy

LSU hired Corey Raymond over Steele for DB coach, but a few years later he's magically qualified to be his boss lolololololololol...

LSU fans were irate about the hire until orgeron, and if you say different you're a liar and I feel sorry for you.
