Know how we know you haven't graduated/ever seen A&M beat LSU?

Like the UGA/LSU game a couple of years ago where Met and LSU had more total yards, time of possession, first downs, less turnovers, on an on and Chavis could not stop that last drive and allowed UGA to kick a field goal and win. That game within itself dictated that season for the rest of the year. It's games like that which happen every year even when the offense did it's job.

Other then being unable to stop critical 3rd downs, and giving up game winning scores in the final 2 minutes, Chavis is an excellent DC.

FIFY and I agree. He's very good, but not irreplaceable.

A&M could very well finally beat LSU this year, but it wont be because of Chavis. More then likely it will be the same old Les Miles pooping in his pants while the O helps him clean it up.

Chavis certainly isn't irreplaceable, there were 3-4 DC's available that would have perfectly capable of sustaining your level of play that you've grown accustomed too. Instead you went out and hires Kevin Steele.

I'll continue to use it. It describes the corn dog so well.

We wanted a LB coach that could recruit the South, especially the Southeast. Glad you know what's best for us and can't wait to hear your advice next offseason

It's going to be a fun 2015 no matter what happens.

I think learning containment is the best thing that can happen in Myles Garrett's development. It was the one area he really struggled in last year and I expect that to improve tremendously under Chavis.

Yeahh maybe Myles will be able to take on a TE this year and by next year, he should be ready to try and take on an OT.

I guess the Aggy's have no more excuses this year. Should win the SEC with Chavis and the best O in the country right?

Steele has mostly coached linebackers, with a little bit of experience at defensive backs. LSU had thought about hiring him as defensive backs coach in 2012, after he'd spent the year observing the program while his son Gordon worked as graduate assistant (Miles chose Corey Raymond instead). They later tried to give him an "administrative intern" position, similar to what is offered to Brick Haley now, but he wound up taking the Director of Player Personnel position at Bama.

Yes remember that name

A&M just got Chavis'd This guy is in for such a rude awaking and I am pretty sure he knows it already. Crazy if he thinks he will have a 1/4 of the talent that he had here defensively.

Retirement plan..can't blame him. Lower expectations for higher pay..not bad.
