Texas is poised to go on a decline.

Teams like Nebraska, Michigan, USC, Miami, etc are always poised for a long decline because they are lacking factors to stay consistent:

Nebraska, Michigan(and others): Location sucks

USC, Miami, etc: No real consistent fan base

Texas has every factor and all they need is the right coach to turn it around in one season(Harbaugh, etc)

2010 (tied for 1st in Division - beat both participants in the Big 12 title game)

Nice try

No one gives a shite where you finished in your division - when is the last time someone other than an Aggie referenced their division finish?

In 2010 Aggie didn't play in the CCG (though its a neat trick that they put that one on their wall in 2012). It really is a feat how far Texas A&M will go to create accomplishments out of thin air. Trying to impress your new SEC brethren I guess

So when is the last time Texas A&M finished better than third in their conference?

6 pages of this thread are Aggies denying the ATM/ UT rivalry, and several even claimed all-male school status to soften the historical arse pounding given by Texas. Did you read?

A&M accomplished a lot in the BDF. Maybe you should check our athletics site. Multiple division titles, a huge conference title win in 1998, and beating #1 ranked Oklahoma in 2002.

They accomplished things in the Big12 but pretty much underachieved.

They are poised to be much more successful in the SEC.

And "poised" is better than not being "poised".

Not much more to say than that.

Good Lord!

What is the OP's point? To troll A&M?

OP needs to go back to the trailer and fry something.

Not to mention a Natty in women's hoops and numerous Nattys in track and field.

But, yup. We didn't accomplish anything because we were down in football for about twelve years.

if you look at athletic accomplishments of the past couple decades A&M is every bit the equal of tu.

Overall, sure. But not even in the big three, even with Texas' big decline (in the last two decades).

And Texas has scoreboard on you all in all the big three sports, most recent matches.

But overall/allsports, everyone is Stanford's bitch.

I'd put money on A&M being more successful than Texas in the big three sports over the next couple of years. But not sure beyond that.

While your t-shirt team lost to a 1-4 team led by a midget wrestler who, when he speaks, makes Mushmouth sound understandable.

They always say "but, but we were an all male school and that period doesn't count, and since 1984 it's close to .500"

Yeah so I guess your 1 NC in 1939 doesn't count then
Between 1900 and the start of WW2, the series was basically a dead heat, and the two schools were much closer to being the same size than during the forty subsequent years, when the 'Horns dominated the series. In 1939, for instance, TAMU had about 6,000 students, compared to about 10,000 in Austin.

After WW2, the University of Texas simply grew faster. By 1965, it had grown to the point that its enrollment was almost twice that at TAMU ... 26,000 to 14,000 students.

The two were not comparable in size until the 1980s.

But TCU is tiny, and they are Top-10. So, the Aggies have sucked forever and will never improve.

22-15 for that period, but if you just make it simple and take the rivalry from the start, it's 26-15, excluding ties.

If you want to manipulate the numbers, you can say that the schools were evenly matched between the world wars.
