quote:Yeah, I agree with you on that.
When you have people bitching and moaning when your team wins 35-10 against a good team, then there is certainly a degree of under appreciation, and spoiled-ness. You would have thought we lost that VT game the way our fans were acting afterwards.
quote:In some ways that's a good thing - even the fanbase expects a certain standard and is upset when the standard isn't met.
I cant tell you how many times I have been disgusted by our fans this year being unhappy after a win.
I was a student in 2000. Losing sucks arse, so I, for one, can truly appreciate how special this run is. On the other hand, the "nobody-can-beat-us/nobody's-as-good-as-us" attitude among some is quite disgusting.

Uh, Terry, at you age, moving is easier. I think you already know that.
Not like it'd be any different at UT.

Saban would put Terry on the phone with recruits when he was at LSU to declare he was not going to the nfl. She was happy in BR...

Part of the entitled problem.

If Saban was 3 yrs younger he would leave for Texas for that reason alone. He hates complacency and that is what our student section has become. Don't beat a good team by 30 and something is wrong beat a cake by 42 and that's boring. Get messed up go to the game and witness the best years of Bama football. I grew up during the days of moppin the floor with S. Miss at a tune of 13-10. The student section might have been fighting the whole game but at least they were there.

That is odd, I really haven't noticed this.

I told you she was here to stay, over and over and over again. Some people are so gullible.

If Saban thinks this is an isolated Bama problem, he is wrong.
It happens at ALL schools. Good or bad. Champions or last place. People aren't showing up like they used to. Especially for FCS teams.
I think our student section responded well after he called them out earlier, but if he expected a full stadium for UTC on a cold, dreary day, I'm not sure what to say.

Sucks for him. Being the top coach in CFB you'd think he'd have earned his way into retirement in a better city than Tuscaloosa.

Having your arse in the Student Section while alabama gets croomed sucks arse.
I gladly sat through the domination of Arkansas this season, mainly because it was the first time I've been back to BDS since 2009.

When I was a student, I was at every home game and half the road games. And that was when you had to show up two hours beforehand to get a seat. The current students not showing up are inexcusable.
The tickets I sold were faculty/staff. It's now against the law to sell your faculty/staff tickets for above face value, too, but I quit buying them because I wasn't going to go to all the games and thought it unfair to buy a ticket package that someone else might have bought and gone to all the games with. Some of the non-professional/non-faculty employees have to wait years to get tickets.

How has Bama managed to keep Saban away from all the ex-governor's wives...He likes them A LOT...Of course, we'd all like a little Candy!

I didn't think he had time for that.

Even in block seating (not getting into that debate), I had to get to games at least 2 hours early to ensure lower bowl seats. I graduated last December. Not sure when students haven't had to get there 2 hours early?
