Here's an interesting snippet from the end of the article that you guys might have missed if you didn't read it:

quote:

She noted that this is the longest they've stayed anywhere—by two years—and that they feel like members of the community. Their children, Kristen and Nicholas, both graduated from Alabama. "We feel more like it's home, like we are a part of the community and pulling up stakes again would be difficult."

"We are trying to educate ourselves, to change ourselves," Terry said. "We can't change expectations or change lack of appreciation. We have to change our mind-set. We have decided: this is where we are going to end our career."

This all but confirms he is all but gone. Can't wait to see go back to the Mike Shula years.

So what the hell do we have to do to show them we're appreciative? Are we supposed to spread rose petals on the sidewalk when she comes through?

$5.4 mill and total control seems like pretty damn good appreciation. And I'm sorry, but I won't walk across the street to see them play a FCS or Cardinal Direction school. If they want to sell seats, schedule real opponents.

I totally get the connection this family now has in Tuscaloosa. Never thought he would leave anyway.

You would have back in 2007 or 2008. I think that's what she's referring to.

Our being spoiled is what she meant by "lack of appreciation".

And it's true.

Well damn Bama fans, seems like Terry is a little rustled over your lack of appreciation.

I agree with her somewhat.

When you have people bitching and moaning when your team wins 35-10 against a good team, then there is certainly a degree of under appreciation, and spoiled-ness. You would have thought we lost that VT game the way our fans were acting afterwards.

I cant tell you how many times I have been disgusted by our fans this year being unhappy after a win. fricking pathetic if you ask me.

Last year I bought season tickets. Even then, I had to combine the cupcake tickets with SEC games to get rid of them.
