There was a time when the lower bowl was just "the stadium." There's a lot more student seating now than there used to be.

Whatever year was the last IB in Birmingham (98?), you couldn't move because the student section was so crowded. Literally, the aisles were blocked and crammed so full that you had to shove your way through the portals just to take a piss.

And I was around when the only student seats available were lower bowl. Still had to get there early.

And the situation you described, was the 2010 Iron Bowl and 2011 LSU game, and a few other bigger games. I stood in a line outside the stadium packed in like sardines for hours before gates opened to get in for Game of the Century.

Yes she was and would have moved back to BR if LSU had asked. They still have good friends there.

Now that the bee is out of his bonnet they are in Tuscaloosa until the Bama admin screw it up.

I am curious to know if Saban knows he is married or there is an opposite sex in alabama.

That's a very odd question.

That's not an excuse for you to be a bad fan.

The university HAS to have the home games to maintain the program in the manner to which you are accustomed.

Not to mention that you miss the opportunity to see future NFL greats like Bret Favre, Terrell Owens, and Michael Turner, (who I all saw in person) just off the top of my head.

Look around the nation, everyone is having trouble filling seats. It's a problem across all sports. The fan experience at games is falling behind to fan experiences at home for some.

You'll find me at almost every Bama home game, but it's not because I'll get to see three players that might become NFL superstars, it's for Bama.

I'm not excusing people, I'm telling you it's not a Bama specific problem. So maybe a Bama specific solution isn't the answer.

I predict the era of downsizing stadium capacity is near. Gone will be the days of tight arse seats of vol stadium and in will be days of big fat arse chair backs with maybe 70,000 seat capacity. As usually texas a&M is being dumb going full titanic, iceberg ahead. Soon these seats will be the norm

It is pretty damn expensive, particularly if you aren't local.

I feel if the Saban's say they are interested in Texas or not interested in Texas, there's the same percent chance they are ACTUALLY interested in Texas.

I've made the same comment to friends. Seating capacity will decrease to increase fan experience.

UKs remodeled CWS will be less than before the remodel.

It's just not as rewarding to go to games anymore when 99% of games can be easily viewed on TV. You can't communicate easily over your phone (important to some, not to me), you don't have as good of view, no replays, expensive stadium food, no booze (yeah you can sneak it in but you get the idea), etc.

So... they are building a house in Texas ehh? They must have been stringing the footers while she was out there!

When you have people bitching and moaning when your team wins 35-10 against a good team, then there is certainly a degree of under appreciation, and spoiled-ness. You would have thought we lost that VT game the way our fans were acting afterwards.

Do you think Saban was happy with that game? I bet you he was chewing more arse than the fans were. The fans simply emulate him, as is human nature to emulate those you hold in high regard.

Terry's screwing up that theory of it all being a ploy to get more money. Sexton's gonna have to have a talk with her.

I think the rumors of Malzahn to Texas are just ludicrous..I am not saying that Texas does not want Malzahn. He just got back to Auburn and turned things around, why would he pick up and move now?

Whoever makes these kind of stories up really don't have anything else to do.
