I think the media confused the caliber with a weapon name. I've even seen them report someone being shot with a .9mm before.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Lugers werent chambered in a standard 9mm cartridge as well. more than likely its a ruger. people confuse them quite often(the name not the gun)

Luger shoots the 9mm round that is so popular with the Thug crowd. Cheap and easy to find
Even NATO uses that round.

Actually, 9mm was developed specifically for use in the Luger.

Did anybody confirm or write the actual caliber of the handgun? There were pellet pistols that have been made over the years in the shape of a german luger.
