The only teams with 0 chance to win a National Title in SEC are Vandy and Kentucky. The rest all have the possibility of doing so or have already done so. Sorry, but in 1999 this exact thread could have been made regarding LSU.

No. It couldn't. LSU, even in 1999, was a much better program with much more going for them. LSU is located in a state with 3x, 4x, or maybe even 5x the talent.
In 1999, everyone knew LSU was a sleeping giant that had failed in recent years to meet expectations as of late. No one is thinking that about Arkansas right now.

I can't fathom a world in which Arkansas is beating Alabama and LSU for recruits and winning National Titles. No rational thinking brain would be able to produce a thought like that.
I can't fathom a world where Oregon is a college football power but it happened. I can't fathom a world where Boise is consistently a good football team every year but it happened.
It's all about consistency. Consistency in coaching builds relationships in recruiting and if we put together consistent winning seasons we can lure better talent in. With better talent we can take the next step etc.

We don't have to 'beat Alabama and LSU for recruits'. We just have to beat them the only place it counts - on the field.
Hell, how many recruits that we beat LSU for has it taken for us to beat them the last two years in a row?

I would love to go for a ride in your time machine if you would be so kind. Idiot.

This has been proven statistically false on probably 100 occasions so I will not do the numbers for you. In the entirety of college football leading up to Saban's arrival at LSU, I believe LSU was no more than 3-5 spots ahead in terms of wins and AP finishes with the same number of National Titles. Sorry, but Saban built that program from the ground up and to say you or anyone saw that coming is the biggest crock of shite that has ever been spewed from your mouth.

How old were you in 1999? They were an afterthought.

Apparently none of these guys are old enough to remember what LSU really is...

I look at this year's schedule, and I don't see ANYBODY that I think that it's impossible for us to beat. Alabama is the only one that I will even come close to conceding.

The mind of a Hawg is a complicated matter
After years of mental and physical torment from their SWC brother UT they ran off. In this process they ultimately found out life without the state of Texas was worse off than being constantly beaten by UT.
They brought in what they felt as the next best thing to the SEC in aTm. Problem is that aTm is just like ArKansas easily replaceable.

We've been to multiple SEC championship games, we've played in a BCS bowl and we've finished in the top 5 since joining the SEC. Those aren't going to happen every year obviously but those are things we know we can obtain in this conference. Until we do better then that, I would say that's our glass ceiling.

Lol they really can't. I'm being 100 percent honest, I don't even know who coaches at Texas anymore bc of how irrelevant they are in college football hahaha.

I guess that is what happens when you place your program in the hands of someone from Arkansas
Truth to be told UT could win 5 games for the next ten years and still be considered a better program than Arkansas
